my oven decided to CATCH ON FIRE last night as i was just about to bake this bread... luckily my mum offered to save the day and baked it for me in her oven. it came out PERFECT, best gluten free bread ever!
now i'm left to wonder whether it was my preparation (I kneaded it in the mixmaster with the dough arms - i usually don't) or whether it was my mum's baking ... doh!
Pasta made from rice flour is fine, though you do have to stop the
cooking process before it gets gluey. This is made from rice flour
with added rice bran, and was bought at Walmart.

Who wants to go and drool on their windows with me? Seriously, I'm totally ordering a cake.
I can't eat gluten or rice or corn, which leaves me without many options for store-bought baked goods. I ended up making these myself with potato starch and threw in some sesame and flax seeds to spiff them up a little.
This tasty juice is made from celery, parsley, dandelion greens, kale, lime and grapefruit.

Attempt at gluten free cornbread...my daughter has bunches of food allergies to about 11 things (mostly common ones with a few obscure ones tossed in) so I wasn't confident this would work, but it was pretty good! I'm thankful she's not allergic to corn!

This was meant to me ground almond flour, but was more like almond butter. I snacked on these bits - yum.
It is beginning to get warm around here and after the end of my six day week I didn't fancy making anything too elaborate.
These babies hit the spot. Flavoured with garlic, seasoning, cumin seeds and lime juice. With the addition of some sweet red onions.
I served this up with cabbage salad with creamy parsley dressing, orange-tomato relish, roasted red peppers and plain old avocado. Nourishing :)
