PD stopped by for a socially distanced lunch to show us her new "do" and for a little exercise walk around the neighborhood.
6-1-07 At the fountains... after swimming, Cassidy & her friends showing their matching shoes. :) Cassidy's on the right, she pulled out her laces right away! ;) (Always taking things apart! ;))
Went as high as #86 on Explore! :)
I moved two hours away to where I live now, about four years ago. I had no family or friends and once I quit work to have my daughter, I didn't even have co-workers. Luckily, my neighbors are completely awesome. I have met so many people on the lake and keep meeting more all the time. It's like a family and we are all so close. I can call on any one of my neighborhood friends and know that they'll be willing and ready to help, have some fun or just chat. I am still young, but I can already say that I have found where I want to be for the rest of my life.
This photo was taken by my hubby and I'm glad he captured some love in a photo.

No date, Ostrowo (today Ostrów Wielkopolski in Poland). Ca. 1937.
Probably in the school named Manfred von Richthofen. Formerly upper school for girls.
Scan from a fragmented negative found on the flea market. You can find here more negatives and photographs of this bundle:

Among other things, the pieces give a small insight into the life of young people in Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

Working with children puts a whole new hitch in the gitalong.
Sometimes they'll take direction. Other times... um, no. And then we have occasions of bargaining. As in... OK, you can use the camera, but first I'd like you to stand over there and walk towards me slowly.
Then there are the times when my little agents of chaos have their own, quite particular ideas. Like this one. It started with the outfit, which her sister had been wearing. "Want that!" So, OK, here you go. Then, "Want cat mask. Cat mask. Cat mask!" Then, "Curly wig, curly wig!" It didn't take much to get the dolly in the picture; she's ancient and fragile so I typically try to keep her safe from little paws... which makes the prospect of holding her ever-so-appealing.
I truly don't know how parents manage. When I'm with the girls I'm constantly aware of their extremely tender vulnerability. They literally have see-through skin, with every baby blood vessel there on display. And all those tiny body parts. And all that sweetness. They turn me into so much mush, I'm amazed I can hold the camera at all.
Have you lost the love of your life?
... deep down, there’s a good chance that she still likes you, that she misses you.

We went on a date to the Fork Union Drive In Theatre tonight. Double feature of Ice Age 3 and Star Trek. Girlfriend got dressed up for some reason. She wore a hot-n-sexy shirt in order to sit in the back of a truck and eat terrible food with me and laugh at small children's (and their parents') expense. It was a good date.
