I found this little gin display in a shop window on Steep Hill Lincoln.
Aerial view of a cotton gin in California's Central Valley.
Harvested cotton is sent to this gin, which separates the seeds and stems from the fiber and then packages it into clean bundles to send to a mill to be spun.

On the site of the former wholesale market, there is a fairly diverse range of offerings for different target groups. There are grocery stores, a flower store, a bike store, a gin bar, a design showroom, as well as several restaurants, and a pop-up beer garden. Some of the buildings have a run-down look, but this gives them a special atmosphere, which quite a few customers love.
The weather turns warmer, and my mixed drink radar shifts away from brown liquors more often. I always enjoy a nice gin and tonic in the summer months. We recently discovered an elderflower lemonade from Cawston Press (really a nonalcoholic sparkling cider with lemon and elderflower), and it struck me that with the right gin, that could make a nice addition to a stock G&T. This was the result, and it's tasty.
The recipe is pretty simple: 1 1/2 oz. gin (I used Monkey 47, which has some citrus notes, Hendricks would work, too), 1/2 oz. of elderflower liqueur (I used St. Germain), and 1/2 oz. of limoncello (homemade) over ice in a highball glass, then top off with tonic (I used Fever Tree.) Add a twist of lemon peel and serve cold.

Unruly Gin is a refreshingly alternative Canadian-style gin that has balanced and complimented its juniper with a hint of cedar and citrus, a dash of fragrant lavender and sarsaparilla root, and the vibrant notes of coriander
