Corner(s) Macro Mondays Theme

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at macro Mondays is beverage. What a perfect theme for me !

I think that after following my Photostream for a few days (or hours ??), you will discover my addiction to gin and tonic. I must admit this addiction is getting worst and worst. Frankly, I dont see how it will get better soon, but that is another subject which I will address at the end of the lockdown. Meanwhile, cheers everyone (yes, I know it is very early, Monday morning, but so what ?)!

I wish you all an amazing day ! See you later !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Hola my Flickr friends!!

Another Monday!! And since I’m working from home now, it doesn’t mean anything anymore lol Monday, Friday or Thursday what is the difference?

Today is a red day at Color my World Daily Group and we celebrate yellow at Macro Mondays…. So, it is a yellow and red Monday today!!

And since I’m drinking gin& tonic daily since the beginning of our lockdown (please don’t judge me!!) I decided to take a picture of a lemon and a red straw in my glass! So, cheers people!!

Unfortunately (for me ...) I have another video meeting with my coworkers … I truly hope no one will notice how hungover I am lol

Wish me luck!!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts / positive vibes!! It is truly appreciated! I sincerely hope everyone is all right and you all have everything you need to survive this with a smile! Have a great day and see you soon!!

This is a replica horse gin at Magpie Lead Mine (in the background). Gary has already reported how we met out at Stanage and took a walk along the top. It would have been very pleasant if it hadn't been for the clouds of tiny flies, which filled your eyes, nose, mouth, ears...it was horrendous. We might have stayed for sunset but like everyone else we retreated from the top, Suspecting conditions were the same at Higger and Burbage we decided a pint of cool beer was just what we needed. Inevitably we didn't go far before hastily pulling up and going into a pub with a sunny outlook. And the Hobgoblin Gold washed all those flies away. I came to write this piece and checked google map to find the name of the pub, The Eyre Arms. And next to the name the computer said "You visited yesterday". Now I'm a bit behind with tech but I did find that a bit spooky. I need to be more careful letting people know where I've been!

I loved the blue colour of this little bottle for today's theme. I used windowlight and black card background to make the images stand out. Not a drop of alcohol was involved, the miniature only contained water.

Its name derives from the story of an Aboriginal girl who was promised to an elder of her tribe, the Kamilaroi, and ran away with a young man from a neighbouring tribe. The couple were pursued and, seeing no escape, jumped from the cliff to their deaths.
