**I didn't title this picture hoping to grab onto what's happening right now.

I don't know what made me chose these particular words the evening before the world woke up to the hideous assault being perpetrated on the Ukraine.

But words can be potent - guns and missiles only bring blood and death - words are what we, who don't bear arms, have as our weapons.

Words of unity, of love, of support. Words matter.

I hope, with all my heart - that the people of Ukraine will triumph in their fight. My tears are theirs.

Two years have elapsed since the inauguration of Lincoln as President of the United States and since the beginning of the war of secession between the army of the Union and the Confederate army, between the industrial and abolitionist states of the north and the agrarian states and southern slavers.

At the command of the "blue" troops, General Meade and the command of the "gray" troops, General Lee.

From the first moment both armies reinforced the area, mobilizing many columns of infantry, artillery and cavalry. All the military strategies known to date were put into practice (cavalry saber charges, ambushes, attacks on trenches with fixed bayonets, incursions of small groups behind the enemy lines, etc.)
