This hotel was abandoned several years ago. Urban myths tell about ghosts presence. Souls which belong to this place that during decades, has been used by people who want to commit suicide. They used to jump from a stone called "The suicide Stone" in the top of the waterfall, place where they left their messages.

"Ghost Fleet in Alabama waters-- Some four miles up the Mobile River, battle-scarred and war-weary cargo vessels are beginning to arrive and drop their anchors to start what soon will be this country's largest ghost fleet in history. The vessels, considered unsuitable for postwar commercial use, are expected to exceed by several times the 75 retired at Mobile after World War 1. Some four and one-half miles of the Mobile river will be used for the ghost fleet which will accommodate about 500 ships. Roma kids, Doel, Antwerp.
Doel is a small ghost town next to the ever expanding port of Antwerp.
Since 1999 the villagers are being expropriated, and most of them left. Anarchist squatters and Roma families have taken their places, since then living illegally in the abandoned houses. Kids are playing outside (instead of going to school), dogs look for food amongst the garbage, and the household stuff is often thrown on the streets. Yet, a couple of pubs are still serving their customers, the police is driving around, and the government is promising a quick solution for the 100 or so illegal Roma gypsies...

Myself and my niece found an old abandoned building , she went looking and peered through the broken window, well in the bright light of the sun she looked like a ghost. We kept the poor girl there until we got the right look. Converted to a Kodak tri max 400 film preset.

The Ghost Tree of the THIRST art project, Pfluger pedestrian bridge and the Austin, Texas skyline, October 31, 2013. Thirst is a temporary public art installation by Women and Their Work Gallery and Beili Liu, Emily Little, Norma Yancey, Cassie Bergstrom and volunteers and supporters. THIRST encourages us to consider our relationship to water, our most precious natural resource, and memorializes the loss of the 300 million trees that died in the recent Texas drought. The iconic 38 foot cedar elm tree on the lake and the 14,000 prayer flag meditation walk on the trail acknowledge the devastating impact of drought in Austin, in Texas, and in places around the world. The goal of THIRST is to make the horrific loss visible while promoting the incorporation of conservation and sustainability into our daily lives. The Ghost tree was flooded on Halloween eve.
I didn't intend to take this photo at all, I had just set my tripod up, set the shutter speed to about 5 seconds, clicked the camera and then LMS Fowler 3F Jinty 0-6-0T No 47406 was slipped into reverse and headed towards Loughborough shed creating this odd ghost like effect.
Not totally convinced on the image however with the recent weather conditions, it's better than uploading nothing!

This ghost sign with multiple layers of paint reads "Downtowner Motel" and "Nackard Inn". The building(s) is a few blocks from Route 66 in downtown Flagstaff, AZ, and now operates as a youth hotel and private apartments.
The Downtowner Motel was created by K.J. Nackard in 1919 to provide lodging near the route of the Old Trails Highway through Flagstaff. Nackard bought and improved two existing buildings and named them the Nackard Hotel. He also built his home on the site. The first building, of what was then called the Nackard Hotel, was the Ramey Building, which was built in 1900 and used as a brothel. The second building was called the Dutch Annie Building and was owned by Annie Marie Sutter until she was murdered in 1916. In the 1930s, once Route 66 had been firmly established, Nackard remodeled his home and made it part of his new Auto Inn, which catered to the automobile traffic along the route.
Khatter Joseph Nackard (K.J.) was born in 1875 in a tiny village in the mountains near Beirut, Lebanon. At age 13, he quit school to learn the shoemaker’s trade. At 25, after struggling and saving while working in various places in the Middle East and Europe, he crossed the ocean in search of better opportunities. He became a pushcart peddler in New York. Gradually, he moved west in search of greener pastures. He ended up in Salt Lake City in 1905, where he became a citizen. Soon afterward, he returned to his tiny village in Lebanon, where he married Marie Michael. The couple set out on a 10,000-mile journey, settling briefly in various places. Finally, in 1912, they settled down in Flagstaff.

Harvey was out exploring a bit this morning and Ghost happened to be hanging out on my coffee table. They saw each other - what you see here is about all the interaction there was between them. Harvey moved on, and Ghost stayed on the coffee table. She usually stays in her room, but she was displaced to make room for my latest TNR cat.
Ghost sign for Garlick Bros. Monumental Masons in Prebend Street, Bedford in June 2010. On Google Streetview, the sign is covered over by a banner for an estate agent, but is now revealed for all to see. The actual building itself looks interesting, but constant traffic makes photography difficult.

Ghost is an unknown to the Resistance. It hasn’t been seen by many, but those who have rarely are in no condition to talk. The only way we know of his appearance is cameras have caught him infiltrating key Resistance bases. He is most likely affiliated with the nation.
