Concert on Friday, November 9th @Casino de Montbenon, Lausanne, Switzerland, for the Jazz Onze+ Festival. Sound was top notch, crowd was ill, musicians were right on point. Show was tremendous. ### Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi-Grammy–winning percussion duo of Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, Ghost-Note is an explosion of sound. With an expansive roster of next-level musicians, the band is pushing funk music into the future.

June 2023 - supposedly the most photographed house in ontario. It was torn down this year.
Pyramiden - the Pyramid - located at Svalbard was a russian settlement of 1000 inhabitants at the most. By the end of the 1990s, Moscow decided to close down the coal mining activity. Everyone had to leave. The town got its name from a mountain nearby.
Found in a box in my closet: a photo taken on a ghost-hunting tour through Salem, Massachusetts back in 2001. Out of all the photos I took that night, this one actually has ghosts in it! I honestly don't know what those streamy things are otherwise.
Check out the ghostly figure on the left. It appears to be transparent. I know that a long shutter speed and a moving object can have a similar appearance but I hand held this shot at a shutter speed of 1/4 second. Slow but not that slow. In addition, the person would have had to move more than the width of his body to produce this affect which does not appear to be the case. Also, his shadow is very distinct and not from my flash.
Third Eye Blind - Motorcycle Driveby
This shot just called out to me. Ron and I were doing a short photowalk on Saturday before Greg's suprise party. We we just walking along and I saw this old scooter. It looked all shiny and was just looking at me, sort of calling out.....'right here, man. take my picture". So I did take a few shots. I did not initially see the 'ghost' in the window. I took 5 shots of this, and this is the only one in which the rider mysteriously appears.

The Snowy Owl is a large, bird of prey of the Arctic regions of the world. In North America, it nests north of the tree line, in the High Arctic from Alaska to Labrador. Its winter range extends roughly across the middle of North America, from its breeding range to northern United States. Snowy Owls are nocturnal, but they hunt during the day. Their life cycle is intimately dependent on the abundance of lemmings, which form an important part of their food supply. In years when food is plentiful, the Snowy Owl reproduces; in years of scarcity, nesting does not take place. The birds will move to other areas in search of lemmings or they will instead hunt other mammals. These cycles generally occur every four or five years.

A ghostly shadow of a bicycle against the silhouette of a bike on the end of a BART bike locker.
I thought the bicycle against the graphic looked interesting then the owner came by and walked away with his bicycle about half-way through the 30-second exposure leaving this serendipitous ghostly image.
Against an historical bus in the ghost town of Sandon, British Columbia grow some flowers.
The scene struck me with its simplicity, high up there in the mountains with the air so much colder than it had been at the start of our journey.
It seemed a small poetic statement of the perseverance of Nature - and how even while the relics of man may lose their shine and form while the flowers will continue to grow.
I like the mood of the photo especially when seen larger. Hit 'L' on your keyboard to see if it comes across for you too.

Another image for my self portrait project for Uni. The fear of death is very much present in my dreams and life in general. I suppose this was an acceptance of death, the cloak representing it's hold on me.
This was so much fun to shoot even though it was horribly cold. Thank you so much Sarah Taken for the assistance! ;)
Oh and title is from a song by The National. Can you tell I'm excited to see them live next week?!
This is a B&B that used to be a funeral home. We went by on a ghost tour and if you look at the porch you can see what looks like a woman in Victorian clothes. Spooky!!

Sound installation
Lower Bay Station, Toronto's ghost station, is used as a vessel to contain sounds that are within and below the threshold of human hearing - infrasound and tactile sound - where sound is felt rather than heard. Low frequencies created by cars and subways are contributors to the cacophony of infrasonic noise that exists deep below the rumbling of the city. These tactile sounds have also been associated with paranormal activity and ghost sightings.

I always imagine that meeting Raghnailt would be a bit like meeting a ghost.
When her family died she had to move from the village she grew up in. Her parents had life insurance for themselves, but had never in their worst nightmares imagined that their youngest child would be left on her own. After the funeral and legal costs Raggy couldn't afford to kept her childhood home.
She sold the house and moved into a tiny abandoned cabin. She hunts her own meat, grows her own vegetables, and just generally avoids people.
She's a rumor in her village a ghost who lives outside of society.
Every now and then someone will catch a glimpse of her while she is out hunting.
Frills and lace and sneakers and blood.
