When we called into Ely in Cambridgeshire, Peter went in to a huge antique shop by the River Ouse and I wandered along the river taking photos.
A magnificent rhinoceros that we saw when driving around Kruger. It was huge and for once in the open for photos.
These are the last in my series of photos from Rievaulx Abbey. I loved wandering around this place - so much history.
I really love these photos of the beautiful grevillea that grows in our back garden. I have added an action called Jo Color Spring Wildflowers on the photos to add extra sparkle.
These are some more photos from my wanderings along the River Ouse in Ely. Most people find these ducks ugly, but I find them fascinating.
When we were staying in Ludham, Norfolk, we took the paddlesteamer from Horning along the River Bure. It was a lovely trip with beautiful scenery and lots of lovely homes (I hate to imagine what they would cost). Most of them had boat garages where they could just cruise along the river and put the boat in safely on their return.
Sorry for so many photos, but it was hard to choose out of the hundred or so that I took LOL.

I have decided to join Nina on her challenge to take a flower photo a day for 365 days.

I have been to see the surgeon today. Everything is going well and I don't have to see him for 5 weeks.
Some more photos from our trip to the aquarium at Darling Harbour, Sydney. I do find these types of photos really difficult to take, but these I managed to salvage - thank goodness for photoshop.
When we were driving through Kruger one day, we were stopped for a while with a whole herd of buffalo crossing the road in front of the cars.
After a wet, miserable, cold Winter's day yesterday, today we woke to lovely blue skies. Who would have thought that two days would be so different. I went for a walk around the neighbourhood with the 180 mm lens and the 2x extender to see what I could find for photos. To my surprise I spotted some bees busily collecting pollen from the red Dahlia in a neighbour's garden. I thought that they had all disappeared for the Winter. Although I find it painful to carry the heavy equipment around, I am sure now that I will manage when we are in South Africa, as a lot of my photos will be taken from the car.
We went for a drive to Franschhoek in South Africa when we were staying in Capetown. What a lovely little town filled with colourful souvenirs. I love the lifesize statues, but they would be too difficult to bring back to Australia

I was surprised to find the zebra difficult to find when we first began our journey around South Africa, but after the first couple of weeks, we came across quite a few. They are my all time favourite African animal.

I have been playing around with PhotoMania on facebood and found this effect in the Artistic section. I really like it, I must say. I am not sure what the little antelope is, maybe Piet might be able to tell me.

I am running late tonight - too many interesting shows on TV LOL. These are some photos of the honey bees that have been buzzing around the little purple bush in my garden. I have never managed to find out the name of this plant, but the bees really love it.

Arundel, West Sussex is a beautiful place to wander around. We have been here a few times (also stayed there) and although the weather during our last visit was overcast and misty I still took some nice photos.
