A stiff nor'easter blowing up the harbour, whitecaps and a little speed, a recipe for pure joy.

Baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Ruach Hakodesh

Today was a trip to the Museum of Liverpool which opened a couple of weeks ago.

It was, in truth, a bit disappointing. It's got potential, but it's not very big and only half of it's open. There are good sections that I'd like to see, but they're not open yet. I might give it 18 months and then see how it shapes up.

We parked at the Liverpool Arena car park, and on the way back we noticed this rather bizarre sight. It's a Range Rover Evoque (a bloody strange looking vehicle) doing a deep water fording demonstration in one of the docks.

At least it didn't cut out, though a plastic undertray did fall off one of the cars.

One of the other teachers made a run through the fountain in a water play area of the park.

At a park in Victoria.

We also took the students on a day trip to Victoria.

The first 2 weeks of August I worked at an ESL summer camp for Japanese teenage girls. We ran class-like sessions in the morning and in the afternoons we either did field trips on special activities in the school we were using. It was fun and reminded me a bit of the summer programs we would run when I worked in school-age child care.

Clearance of vegetation from the beds continued, although more recently the main aim has been just to keep the channels clear, a strip of a metre or two alongside each bank.
