This shot was a mistake. I was trying to get out from the rain and I couldn't get into position as there were other photographers shooting to my left. My gear was wet so I hit the shutter (didn't look at my settings) and ran for cover. Not bad considering how it came about, what do you think?

Shot this is Model Marly, when she was first starting out, and one of her first shoots. She was a lot of fun and very playful and made every shot seem natural.

As a child we tend to have the “sure I get wet; but, I shall dry” attitude. But as adults sometimes we are so afraid of “getting wet”, that we miss out the fun.

Summer time fun as the local children joyfully accept the spray from the erupting fountains, on a warm summer early evening.
I love the feel of this shot - water everywhere, and indeed, I was about ankle deep with the tripod when taking this. There are many different waterfalls like this in upper Lick Brook in Ithaca, NY

My family has just came back from a 6 week vacation in Spain (sweet eh?) so now I am snapping portraits like crazy and getting my camera wet! This little rascal is my 5 year old son playing with his water gun.

A week ago, we were enjoying a warm summer afternoon wandering downtown Chicago with the grandkids. Picnic lunch at Buckingham Fountain, walking along the Lake Michigan lakeshore, and ending up in Millennium Park… taking silly reflection photos at the Bean and running through the ankle deep water with a couple hundred other kids at Crown Fountain. The grandkids loved it… just as much as the rest of us 'big kids'!
There's something about the whole Chicago lakefront area in the summer… it's pure magic. And even though the calendar just turned the page to September, there's still plenty of time to enjoy an afternoon or two before the autumn cool turns our attention to colored leaves and sweatshirts and apple picking and pumpkins. Get out there and enjoy!
