leaving leipzig

We landed in Leipzig Germany. I spent 3 years of my life thinking about ways to destroy this airfield when Leipzig was part of East Germany. That was the war that never happened. At the same time, I worked on ways to make life suck for the Russians in Afghanistan. Now I am stopping in Leipzig on the way to Afghanistan. Kinda messes with your mind

Believe it or not this belongs to one of the most experienced combat vets in our group. Of the 39 of us, all but two have been in combat and most more than once. The owner of the monkey has already been deployed a total of 4 years.

Some companionable ear nibbling while looking out the window.

I miss this on a daily basis. Working in the burbs has been hell on me. The burbs lack soul. People are encased in cars. Trade you a job in the burbs for a job in the city any day.
