ODC-Getting There
(In camera tilt shift)
We are planning a move in the Spring to the Ithaca area. We are in the preparation stages. Once Fall is here and it cools down we will go into full gear. So we are getting there slowly. The photo below is of Buttermilk Falls, (Google Earth Screen Shot) It's one of many beautiful areas we plan to visit often once we relocate.
I suppose I have to clean them too.
This is a rough contact print I found in a pile of snaps in a Fowler, Colorado antique shop. The propietor, who said his shop has been in the same place for 20 years, spun a yarn about the people and how the fish were caught on a reservoir lake near there... He changed the name of the lake twice during the story...

Salina, Kansas. This is on Santa Fe Avenue looking north. The bank clock is visible at the Iron Street corner. Across the street are those old shops: Gibbs, Epps Bootery, Seitz, Linck Pharmacy. The quartet headed toward us are in the latest fashion for the year.
There were no shopping centers, no Wallyworld. When you shopped you strolled the downtown sidewalks.
This was scanned from an old 35mm negative.
I worked in a camera shop (just to the right) and I often tried out new cameras when they came in. I would load a roll of film and step out the front door and capture what ever was on the street at the time.
The picture is in use at IFB!
I've still got a ways to go, but I'm getting there. I've lost a few clothing sizes and a ton of inches! Here's a comparison front shot.

Main Bus Station schedule (chart 1 of 2) as of November 2006.
For much more detail about buses from Hotan, see the Transportation section of Central Asia Traveler on Hotan.
Ths chart does not include the schedule for Luxury Air-Conditioned seat buses and sleeper buses along the new cross-desert 480 km Hotan-Aksu highway, which opened in October 2007. (As of December 2007, these buses were still not running, because the new highway did not yet have fueling or hospitality stations. These will likely be available by summer 2008. Until then, standard buses for Aksu travel the 750 km route via Yarkand / Shache and Maralbashi / Bachu.)
This chart does not include schedule for destinations to the east, including Keriya / Yutian, Niya / Minfeng, or Cherchen / Qiemo, which leave from the East Bus Station. From the Main Bus Station, take the #10 local bus east to the end of the line. Several daily buses to Keriya / Yutian. One daily bus at 09:30 goes as far as Cherchen / Qiemo, 605 km in 11 hours. From Cherchen / Qiemo, a daily bus leaves at about 10:00 east to Charklik / Ruoqiang, 315 km and 6 hours further east.)
