not the ideal kind of jump form (and he usually does the more horizontal style), but Biscuit sure gets some height :-)
Getting the muscle out of a razor clam is not an easy exercise as it is sticky, not easy to disconnect from the shell. This red knot knew how to do it, but as many other sandpipers and turnstones, it definitely needed a bath after the meal as parts of the flesh were sticking to its feathers.
The Dragonflies are back in our garden again, they don’t appear to be settling like they usually do, but that could be because I keep pointing a camera in their faces, ooops haha!!

Least Tern getting pissed!
Note: in no way I harassed this tern, I was actually walking on the beach about 30 yards away from their nesting site. The fact I was holding a camera must have triggered this behavior as many people were on the beach next to me. Barely cropped. Huntingtin Beach(CA)

The juvenile Bald Eagle starts to get some of his white head feathers around the time he is 4 years old, and rarely sooner than that. He may even have a small patch of white feathers on his chest still. He probably will have a completely white head by the time he is 5.5 years old. Some eagles can take up to 8 years to be so white! This image was taken at the Birds of Prey rescue Center in Alberta last year. Happy Wing Wednesday.
