This shot was taken just shortly after boarding the Rotterdam cruise ship in August of 2010. We boarded in Seattle and headed up to Alaska for 7 days. It was a great trip with unbelievable views that you can only get from the water.

I'm not too sure what to say about this shot other than I was eager to cruise, no pun intended, around the ship before the masses engulfed the ship and cluttered every shot taken. This was a martini bar that was all set up and not a soul had touched it just yet. I was able to take my time and compose the shot without feeling rushed.

I sure hope you all are enjoying the photos I've posted so far.

I hope you enjoy today's post. If you like what you see the greatest compliment you could give me is to share this with others. I appreciate all the feedback, comments and 'likes' I get and read and respond to every one of them.

this is my new kind of paint...

I used to paint with Widsor and Newtons "Galeria" but the most of my paint was used and I had to buy some new...Orla has used better kind of paint when he is painting smaller things with acrylic paint and feel the difference in quality when he uses Galeria...

So we both wanted to try a better quality of acrylic paint and I searched the shop Aart de Vos in Aarhus to see what I could get...and there were 4 colors to get and a white for free if you bought Ara...so we did...8 different colors and then we got two white.....

...think its a good buy...Galeria ( which is b-quality) can be bought for 75 kr. each for 500 ml.....but by doing as I did, the average of 500 ml. of Ara (A-quality) is only 25 kr. more each color...average 100 kr for each color Ara.....I think I´ll be better off with the better quality.....

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.

We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Lying down on the job ....

I like how the person in the background seems to be trying hard to ignore this trio! lol

Proof. Here's proof that I know what I'm talking about when I say she's purtyful. I texted her and I was like oh my god, your like a flawless vintage princess! She said awe I was being too nice. I think the more we shoot together the more comfortable we'll get and the better the shots will be. Like I said before shooting with Ashley was fun she's crazy.

Something I started doing. I save 20$ from each paycheck I get and I also add whatever change is lying around. Hopefully I can go somewhere with it.

Holy Trinity, Blythburgh, Suffolk

My favourite church in England.

Ten years earlier, I had written:

Perhaps some counties have a church which sums them up. If there has to be one for Suffolk, it must be the church of the Most Holy Trinity, Blythburgh. Here is the Suffolk imagination writ large, as large as it gets, and not overwritten by the Anglican triumphalism of the 19th century. Blythburgh church is often compared with its near neighbour, St Edmund at Southwold, but this isn't a fair comparison - Southwold church is much grander, and full of urban confidence. Probably a better comparison is with St Margaret, Lowestoft, for there, too, the Reformation intervened before the tower could be rebuilt. The two churches have a lot in common, but Blythburgh has the saving grace. It is so fascinating, so stunningly beautiful, by virtue of a factor that is rare in Anglican parish churches: sheer neglect.

Holy Trinity, Blythburgh, is the church that Suffolk people know and love best, and because of this it has generated some wonderful legends. The first is that Blythburgh, now a tiny village bisected by the fearsome A12 between London and the east coast ports, was once a thriving medieval town. This idea is used to explain the size of the church; in reality, it is almost certainly not the case. Blythburgh has always been small. But it did have an important medieval priory, and thus its church attracted enough wealthy piety on the eve of the Reformation to bankroll a spectacular rebuilding.

It is to Lavenham, Long Melford, Mildenhall, Southwold and here that we come to see the late 15th century Suffolk aesthetic in perfection. But for my money, Holy Trinity, Blythburgh, is the most significant medieval art object in the county, ranking alongside Salle in Norfolk. Look up at the clerestory; it seems impossible, there is so much glass, so little stone; and yet it rides the building with an air of permanence. Beneath, there is a coyness about the aisles that I prefer to the mathematics of Lavenham. Here, it could not have been done otherwise; it distils human architectural experience. If St Peter and St Paul at Lavenham is man talking to God, Holy Trinity at Blythburgh is God talking to man.

At the east end, a curious series of initials in Lombardic script stretch across the outer chancel wall. You can see an image of this in the left hand column. It reads A-N-JS-B-S-T-M-S-A-H-K-R. This probably stands for Ad Nomina JesuS, Beati Sanctae Trinitas, Maria Sanctorem Anne Honorem Katherine Reconstructus ('In the name of the blessed Jesus, the Holy Trinity, and in honour of holy Mary, Anne and Katherine, this was rebuilt'). A fanciful theory is that they are the initials of the wives of the donors. However, note the symbol of the Trinity in the T stone, and I think this is a clue to the whole piece.

High above, an old man sits on the gable end. Incredibly, this is a medieval image of God the Father, and extraordinary survival; we'll come back to this in a moment.

The porch is part of the late 15th century rebuilding, but it was considerably restored in the early 20th century. Interestingly, the angels crowning the battlements look medieval - but they weren't there in 1900, so must have come from somewhere else. Pretty much all the porch's features of interest date from this time. These include the small medieval font pressed into service as a holy water stoup, and image niche above the doors. This has been filled in more recent years by an image if the Holy Trinity; God the Father holds the Son suspended while a dove representing the Holy Spirit alights; you can see medieval versions of this at Framlingham and Little Glemham.

Of all medieval imagery, this was the most frowned upon by puritans. An image of God the Father was thought the most suspicious of all idolatry. As late as the 1870s, when the Reverend White edited the first popular edition of the Diary of William Dowsing, he actually congratulated Dowsing on destroying images of the Holy Trinity in the course of his 1644 progress through the counties of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

William Dowsing visited on the morning on April 9th, 1644. It was a Tuesday, and he had spent most of the week in the area. The previous day he'd been at Southwold and Walberswick to the east, but preceded his visit here with one to Blyford, which lies to the west, so he was probably staying overnight at the family home in Laxfield. He found twenty images in stained glass to take to task (a surprisingly small number, given the size of the place) and two hundred more that were inaccessible that morning (probably in the great east window). Three brass inscriptions incurred his wrath (but again, this is curious; there were many more) and he also ordered down the cross on the porch and the cross on the tower. Most significantly of all, he decided the angels in the roof should go.

Lots of Suffolk churches have angels in their roofs. None are like Blythburgh's. You step inside, and there they are, exactly as you've seen them in books and in photographs. They are awesome, breathtaking. There are twelve of them. Perhaps there were once twenty. How would you get them down if ordered to do so? The roof is so high, and the stencilling of IHS symbols would also have to go.

Perhaps this was already indistinct by the time Dowsing visited. Perhaps Tuesday, 9th of April 1644 was a dull day.

Several of the angels are peppered with lead shot. Here is another of those Suffolk legends; that Dowsing and the churchwardens fired muskets at the angels to try and bring them down. But when the angels were restored in the 1970s, the lead shot removed was found to be 18th century; contemporary with them there is a note in the churchwardens accounts that men were paid for shooting jackdaws living inside the building, so that is probably where the shot arises from.

Similarly, the splendid church guide repeats the error that the Holy Trinity symbol in the porch filled a gap that had been 'empty since 1644'. But there was certainly no image in it when Dowsing arrived here, or anywhere else in Suffolk; statues were completely outlawed by injunctions in the early years of the reign of Edward VI, almost a hundred years before the morning of Dowsing's visit.

Another feature used as evidence of puritan destruction is the ring fixed into the most westerly pillar of the north arcade. Cromwell's men stabled their horses here, apparently. Well, it almost certainly is a ring for tying horses to, and the broken bricks at the cleared west end also suggest this; but there is no reason to think that Cromwell and the puritans were responsible. For a full century before Cromwell, and for nearly two hundred years afterwards, a church as big as this would have had a multitude of uses.

Holy Trinity was built for the rituals of the Catholic church; once these were no longer allowed, a village like Blythburgh, which can never have had more than 500 people, would have seen it as an asset in other ways. It was only with the 19th century sacramental revival brought about by the Oxford Movement that we started getting all holy again about our parish churches. Perhaps it was used as an overnight stables for passing travellers on the main road; not an un-Christian use for it to be put to, I think.

In August 1577, a great storm brought down the steeple, which fell into the church and damaged the font. This was at the height of Elizabethan superstition, and the devil was blamed; his hoof marks can still be seen on the church door. Supposedly, a black dog ran through the church, killing two parishioners; he was seen the same day at St Mary, Bungay. Black Shuck is the East Anglian devil dog, the feared hound of the marshes; and Holy Trinity is the self-styled Cathedral of the Marshes, so it is appropriate that he appeared here.

You can see where the font has been broken. You can also see that this was one of the rare, beautiful seven sacrament fonts, similar in style to the one at Westhall; but, like those at neighbouring Wenhaston and Southwold, it has been completely stripped of imagery. Almost certainly, this was in the 1540s, but there is a story that the font at Wenhaston was chiselled clean as part of the 19th century restoration.

More importantly in any case, the storm, or the dog, or the devil, damaged the roof; it would not be properly repaired for more than 400 years. Throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, accounts note that Holy Trinity is not impregnable to the weather. By the 19th century, parishioners attended divine service with umbrellas. By the 1880s, it was a positively dangerous building to be in, and the Bishop of Norwich ordered it closed.

Why had Holy Trinity not been restored? Simply, this is a big church, with a tiny village. There was no rich patron, and in any case the parishioners had a passion for Methodism. Probably, repairs had been mooted, but not a wholesale restoration as we have seen at Lavenham, Long Melford and Southwold. By the 1880s, attention in England had turned to the preservation of medieval detail; in short, restorations were not as ignorant as they had been a quarter of a century earlier. Suggestions that Holy Trinity should be restored in the manner of the other three were blocked by the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings, and this owed a lot to the energy of William Morris, the Society's secretary.

The slow, patient restoration of this building took the best part of a century; indeed, when I first visited in the 1980s I was still aware of a sense of decay.

Nothing could be further from the truth today. You step into a wide, white, open space, one of England's great church interiors. There, high above you, is the glorious roof and the angels of God. The brick floors spread around the scraped font, which still bears its dedicatory inscription and standing places for participants. You turn into the central gangway, and more than twenty empty indents for brasses stretch before you. Dowsing can be blamed for the destruction of hardly any of them. In reality, you see the work of 18th and 19th century thieves and collectors.

The bench-ends are superb. The benches themselves were reconstructed in the late 19th century, supposedly from the main post of Westleton windmill, but the ends are some of the county's finest medieval images. There are basically three series: the seven deadly sins, the seven works of mercy, and the four seasons. There are also angels bearing symbols of the Holy Trinity and the crown. Examples of all of these can be seen below; hover on them to read a description, click on them to see them enlarged.

The rood screen is a disappointment; most of it is modern, and the medieval bits perfunctory and scoured. Having said this, note how tiny the exit from the north aisle rood loft stair is. Also at this end of the church, notice a bare scattering of medieval glass, including some Saints.

But step through the central aisle to see something remarkable. The choir stalls are fronted by exquisite carvings of the 12 apostles, evangelists, and even figures who may be King Anna and his daughter St Etheldreda. She founded the priory that became Ely Cathedral, and there is a local connection because her father was killed at the Battle of Blythburgh. It seems likely that there was a shrine to them here.

Seeing these sixteen carvings is a bit like gobbling up a very large box of chocolates, but it is worth stopping to consider quite how genuine they all are. For a start, there could not have been choir stalls here in medieval times, and in any case we know that these desks and their frontages were in the north aisle chapel until the 19th century. They were used as school benches in the 17th century; they still bear holes for inkpots, and the graffiti of a bored Dutch child (his father was probably working on draining the marshes) is dated 1665 - you can see it in the left-hand column. There is nothing at all like them anywhere else in Suffolk, and although we know that they predate the restoration of Holy Trinity (and therefore almost certainly come from here originally) they seem of too high a quality to come from such a rural outback. In short, they are not medieval, whatever the guidebooks say.

Whatever, the east end of the chancel and aisles are thrillingly modern, wholly devotional. In the north aisle, traditionally the Hopton chantry, extraordinary friezes of skeletons become symbols of the four evangelists behind the altar. Beside them, with a view into the sanctuary, is one of Suffolk's biggest Easter sepulchres, tomb of the Hoptons. In the surviving sedilia of the high altar, we find Peter Ball's beautiful Madonna and Child and a fine Holy Trinity plate, which distract perhaps only slightly from the Jewish imagery above the reredos. It is all just about perfect.

Tucked to one side of the organ is a clockjack; Suffolk has two, and the other is down-river at Southwold. They date from the late 17th century, and presumably once struck the hours; at high church Blythburgh and Southwold today, they are used to announce the entry of the ministers.

You may be reading this entry in a far-off land; or perhaps you are here at home. Whatever, if you have not visited this church, then I urge you to do so. It is the most beautiful church in Suffolk, a wonderful art object, and it is always open in daylight. It remains one of the most significant medieval buildings in England. If you only visit one of Suffolk's churches, then make it this one.

I'm just getting and Easter package together to send to Banff, Alberta for my grandsons and along with an assortment of goodies, I did a few Easter cookies for them too. They love it when Grandma sends cookies. I will package these before putting them into the box.

Shot from the park near the Cambridge Yacht Club. The Malkus Bridge was built in 1987 to replace the 1933 Emerson C. Harrington Bridge, which had a draw span and is now used as a fishing pier. It's the second-longest span bridge in Maryland, after the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and this is as close as I could get and still get the whole span in the shot. Cambridge, MD, February 20, 2022.

Subjective and Personal B&W Film Ratings

Being very lazy except for large 8x10" Kodak Litho and other Ortho films these ratings are the result of Lab development. I know that almost every B&W film user is going to strongly disagree with at least some of my ratings.

Large Format

8x10" Kodak Litho Film ISO 8 Old Really Expired

B+

Develops too quickly too much contrast unless you highly dilute the developer. Sharp very easy to push or pull up to 3 or 4 stops when developing under a safe light.

No visible grain, Smooth tones, very sharp. Downside hard to get and expensive

Kodak TriX ISO 320

I like the grain structure and tonality when shot at rated speed Less so when pushed to ISO 800

Fuji Neopan ISO 400 Pushed to 800

This is based on life in a wheelchair, and the different world your in, and more importantly based on my auntie, who became partially disabled 17 years ago, and went from being fit and active, to not being able to leave the house without her chair. She's not fully disabled, she can walk but with difficulty. This in some ways makes it harder for her, going from being normal, to people treating you like your just an object thats in the way, or people talking down to you in a patronising way, or just treating you like your completely gaga.

Sonia works at the best little bakery in the world (in my humble opinion). And I am in good company when I say that, because Isamax has been featured on national television shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show, Food Network's "Road Tested" and "Roker on the Road", Rachel Ray's show, and Good Morning America!

Isamax is best known for their "Wicked Whoopie Pies"! When something is very, very, very good in Maine, we say it is "wicked" . LOL

I had decided to stop here on my way home from work today to pick up a birthday cake. The birthday cake is actually for me, and even though my birthday is not for a couple of weeks, I am not sure that I will get the cake I really, really want. Isamax's whoopie pies, that are made with red velvet cake, are as close to my grandmother's as you can get, and remind me of my childhood when she would make me a red velvet cake for my birthday.

When I walked in this afternoon and saw Sonia's smile, I decided to ask her if she would participate in my 100 strangers project. Initially I thought I was going to get my first rejection (it is bound to come I hear)... because she hesitated so long, but finally she agreed. I am so glad that she did, because I am sure that you will agree with me when I say that her smile is "wicked"!

Sonia said she really likes working for Isamax, and it shows...she was as cheerful as her surroundings! She also said that Isamax makes anywheres from 8,000 to 10,000 whoopie pies a DAY!!! Whoa......................that's a lot of whoopie........................pies!

I have added their link below and if you would like to try one of Isamax's Wicked Woopies too, and I highly recommend that you do, you can order from this site. I also recommend that you try the red velvet of course and the Maple! If you are in Maine and stop off at this bakery in Farmingdale...be sure to say hi to Sonia... and tell her you saw her here!

Newly founded campus organization, 85 Broads, made its second annual debut at the Park Avenue Fashion Week (PAFW) show on Saturday with over forty-five members dressed to impress, ready to network and representing Rollins College for a good cause.

85 Broads is an international women’s professional networking organization that has collegiate chapters across the world, in addition to their professional chapters and 25,000 online members. Its mission is to build a multigenerational global network of ambitious, intelligent women who want to inspire each other to blaze new trails, scale new heights and achieve a life of true significance. Named after the former address of Goldman Sachs’ New York headquarters, 85 Broad Street, the organization originally served as a professional network and support group for women in the financial industry. 85 Broads has now expanded to include women from all industries who are looking for new and challenging opportunities.

The Rollins College chapter is in its third year as an on-campus organization and has been very successful in growing its membership from five members in 2009 to over fifty active members this year, not including its alumnae base who stay involved through the organization’s website www.85broads.com. Past events have included hosting the Intern Queen, Lauren Berger, in spring of 2011 for an inspiring seminar on how to get and make the most of any internship.

The Park Avenue Fashion Week consisted of seven days of events, trunk shows, and promotions at Winter Park boutiques. Among these events, 85 Broads came together to attend Tuni’s Diane Von Furstenberg trunk show and MAC makeover session. In addition to attending the Winter Park sponsored events, 85 Broads held its own event Wednesday October 12 on how to dress your best for job interviews, as well as how to support the local non-profit Dress for Success. Furthermore, PAFW Creative Director Anna Nash spoke to 85 Broads members about careers in fashion, how to get involved in the local fashion community and shared information on upcoming internship opportunities for members.

We met this friendly man with his snake in St. James Park in London in the summer of 2009. Perhaps anyone has met him too? He told us he often comes there with one of his pets - and also a lot about snakes! I asked him if I could take some photos. "Of course" he said. And no - he's not sitting there to get some money. He spends his time there, because he's so lonely at his home beyond the veil of his wife. And every day he gets - and gives - some chats there. To combat the lonesomeness.

So, you want to take better photos...

Maybe you want to capture more defining moments.

Whatever the reason is, lots of people ask me what camera to buy, what they should get and then - basically - how to use it.

For the most part, I am a Canon person. I shot with a borrowed Nikon and it was pleasantly surprising and the walls didn't fall down or the room go into flames - the camera bag with Canon equipment didn't even go missing...

So - I will provide some sayings I have been hearing;

1. Buy whatever brand you're friends have. I tease a friend that bought a nikon camera, not because it is a nikon camera and I dont like it ;) , but because had he bought a canon, he could be hanging out at Dustin's house of equipment and borrowing things he may not ever buy for himself...

2. Buy whatever you're going to bring with you...

Not everyone is me - not everyone brings a back pack of equipment with them they go to Ireland - or to Boston ( www.flickr.com/photos/dustinfinn/2624871418/ ) but you need to buy something that you will want to have with you...

Finally, if you ignore those two items here is what I will say you must get, dont even bother talking to me unless you get these items:

1. DSLR (kit)

2. FASTEST 50mm you can afford (50/1.8 or 1.4)

3. External Flash...

Then, just, go, and shoot...

With this image you just simply know what you are getting.... and with Homesparkle, North London cleaners and domestic cleaning specialist you can be sure you are getting the first class service.

Thank goodness hubby was there to save Sadie - looking through my lens made it hard for me to see how far up the water was getting and right before this really hit he mauled her out of the way lol

These lions were not at all concerned about the attention they were getting, and apparently believed the road belonged to them.

"Harry Potter" kid gets and autograph from Neko

The wind in this place literally knocked Isaac off his feet. Those warning signs are for real. I can see how people stand too close to the edge, not realizing how severe those gusts get, and they sneak up on you.

When we turn a corner that we didn't intend to turn,

We will go a path that we didn't intend to walk,

We will have a tomorrow that we didn't intend to get,

And even more,

We will meet a little miracle that we didn't intend to find.

I was out tonight trying to get a shot of the ISS. It seems that star trails are not the easiest to get and camera settings are key, Still, you never learn from getting things right all the time, do you?

Fagin is one of the main protagonists from Disney's 1988 feature film Oliver & Company. Fagin is the owner of Dodger, Tito, Einstein, Rita and Francis. It is never explained how a poor man such as Fagin came to be in possession of valuable purebreds, although it is possible that he either stole them, or found them as strays and took them under his wing at some point. He was voiced by the late Dom DeLuise.

Despite being a petty criminal, Fagin is essentially a good man driven to desperate measures to repay a debt to Bill Sykes. He greatly appreciates the attention of his gang of dogs, and understandably sees them as his own children. He is portrayed as somewhat illiterate, and he is absolutely terrified of Sykes- this is not cowardice, for Sykes is indeed a terrifying man.

At the end, he shows himself to be brave and not without a sense of honor and morality, playing a strong part in saving Jenny from Sykes. He is kind, cowardly, friendly, and clumsy.

Fagin is first seen entering his house boat with dog biscuits in hand while yelling at his dogs, telling them to stop their game "fight", which grabs the attention of the scrapping dogs, who leap onto him and welcome him home. Just as he is enjoying himself, Bill Sykes, to whom he has been lent a considerable sum of money, arrives. He looks at the 'loot' the dogs have brought in and is dismayed to find it is all broken rubbish. He even notices Oliver.

Then, Sykes' Dobermans, Roscoe and DeSoto arrive, before Fagin can examine Oliver, and shoo him away so as to talk to their master. Having little choice, Fagin heads up to offer the items to Sykes anyway, who tells him that he doesn't want Fagin's garbage, he wants his money. Fagin begs for more time. Possibly because he knows dead men can't pay money back, Sykes gives him three more days, then honks his horn to call his dogs back, which frightens Fagin, causing him to fall off the dock and into the bay waters. Fagin returns, soaking wet, to the houseboat, lamenting that he simply can't pay off all that money in just 3 days. His dogs comfort him (mostly Einstein) by giving him a dog biscuit to eat and then licking him after Fagin thanks his dogs. Then, he says he saw DeSoto's nose and asks who did it. Dodger picks up and reveals Oliver to him, meaning he's the rascal who did it, and Fagin comments that they could use all the help they can get and is proud that it was him. When it's time for bed, Einstein insists Fagin reads the gang a bedtime story. At first, Fagin is reluctant because he's too tired, but when he hears and sees Einstein whining sadly, Fagin accepts "but just 1 chapter" and later, they go to sleep.

The next day, Fagin drives with Oliver and the gang into New York on his scooter/shopping trolley hybrid, leaves Dodger responsible for everything concerning Oliver, and informs the dogs that "Dead men do not buy dog food." therefore, telling them to "get out there and fetch". He then attempts to pawn his broken wares while the dogs and Oliver go on the hunt for money, merchandise, and food after agreeing with Dodger about helping their master with his financial problems with his evil boss.

At the end of the second day, Oliver, who now has a new home and owner from yesterday and was "saved" by the dog-gang and is sad because he wanted to stay, is returned to the houseboat, where Fagin notices his new collar and the wealthy district it is addressed to, after taking him back in when Oliver was intending to leave to go back to his new owner. He has the idea to ransom Oliver and, after dropping off the ransom note and rendezvous map to Oliver's owner, Jenny Foxworth (unknown to him), goes with Dodger to see Sykes with his offer after going over his plan about the ransom, pretending Dodger is Sykes. At first, Sykes, seeing Fagin doesn't have the cash in hand and hearing him discussing his plan with him awkwardly at 1st, sets Roscoe and DeSoto on him with one snap of the fingers, and Dodger protects him while he gabbles out his desperate plan loudly and properly this time and shows him Oliver as proof. After Sykes is convinced, he snaps his fingers again to tell his dogs to cease the attack. Then, Sykes notices the wealthy district engraved on Oliver's collar and assumes that Fagin is planning to kidnap the cat owner and gives him 12 more hours as his "last chance" when feeding dog biscuits to his dogs while Fagin and Oliver come to Dodger's aid after laying injured and unconcious and having received severe (but invisible) injuries from the attack.

On the same night, Fagin meets the lost Jenny with her poodle pet, Georgette. Not realizing at first that she is his wealthy cat owner, Fagin advises her to go home, given the tough neighborhood she's in. When she tells him that she's lost, he then asks her what she's doing at the shipyards by herself in the first place. He is visibly shocked when she tells him that she came to get her stolen cat back, and has brought nothing more than a piggy bank as payment. Feeling guilty, he finally follows his good heart by giving up and pretending to find Oliver in a box, giving him back to Jenny. Sykes, who was watching the whole thing with his dogs in his car, makes his move, snatching Jenny, tossing Oliver out, and telling a shocked Fagin to keep his mouth shut and to consider their account closed.

Then, Dodger and the gang come to Oliver's aid. Dodger assures Oliver that they'll "absitively" get Jenny back. The dogs run to Sykes' warehouse without riding in Fagin's scooter this time. After the dogs have rescued Jenny, Fagin saves them from Sykes in his scooter/shopping trolley. Thinking Sykes will not follow him, he heads into the New York Subway and onto the tracks. Sykes follows him anyway and, during the climatic chase, Jenny is thrown onto the hood of Sykes' car, after his car collides with Fagin's scooter. Fagin leaves the driving to the dogs (specifically Tito) and tries to reach for Jenny when she call for his help, with Einstein holding him, while Dodger and Oliver are fighting off Sykes' Dobermans. Eventually, she makes a jump, after having been caught by Sykes on the leg and then released, thanks to Oliver and Dodger, and he catches her as Tito drives the gang (except Oliver and Dodger) in the scooter onto one of the suspension cables of the Brooklyn Bridge when a train is heading their way, escaping the same death as Sykes by inches. When the rest of the company drive back down, Jenny runs to search for Oliver, only to find a sad Dodger approaching; holding a "thought to be dead" Oliver. At first, everyone thinks he's dead but when Jenny hears a soft meow from Oliver, she quickly realizes that Oliver is alive and everyone is rejoiced, except Georgette, who is still in great shock from the chase. Then, Dodger and the rest of the gang are accepted as Jenny's new best friends.

The next day, at Jenny's home, during her birthday party, Fagin encounters Winston, sings "Happy Birthday" with him to Jenny and apparently makes a bet with Winston on the outcome of a wrestling game. When his fighter loses and he can't pay up, he sidles out of the house, uses the time to leave as an excuse, grabbing an apple on his way before driving off with the dogs. Then, he says his good-bye to Jenny. Outside the mansion, after Fagin starts up his scooter, Winston gets smugged by the scooter's smoke. At the end, freed from his debt by Sykes, and with Sykes and his dogs dead, Fagin is free to start a new, more honest life, or at the very least his previous life of petty crime; free from the threat of a painful death. He is last seen driving, with the gang singing "Why Should I Worry" reprise, in his scooter as Jenny, Winston, and Oliver say good-bye to them and watch them as they return back home.
