FORT BELVOIR NORTH AREA, Va. -- Mike Rogers, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District program manager for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Campus East project, gives a briefing on the project to several leaders of the Brazilian army engineers during their visit to the site Aug. 24, 2010. The Brazilian delegation met with USACE leaders of the project team, and took a brief tour of the complex, which is still under construction. The USACE Baltimore District is managing design and construction of the $1.7 billion facility as part of 2005 Base Realignment and Closure programs here. (RELEASED) Sept. 23, 2009 -- A view of scaffolding which is being erected in between the north and south wings of the Main Office Building at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency New Campus East project site at Fort Belvoir North Area, Va. The arch shown near the top of the photo is the first of several which will be used to mount the atrium roof. Once enclosed, the atrium will join the north and south wings.

FORT BELVOIR NORTH AREA, Va. -- A contractor works to seal the seams of a pre-cast parabolic arch constructed as part of West North Loop Road here, July 27, 2010. The road will pass over the arch, which was installed to preserve a stream which flows underneath, and to give wildlife a natural passage under the road. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District is managing design and construction of the $1.7 billion National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Campus East project here, as well as the infrastructure required to support the new campus, as part of 2005 Base Realignment and Closure military construction programs which are ongoing on or near Fort Belvoir.
