Silent geometries for a deafening everyday life

The silence of a photograph does not show the deafening noise of the whirlpools within us.

Geometrias silenciosas para um cotidiano ensurdecedor

"O silêncio de uma fotografia não mostra o barulho ensurdecedor dos redemoinhos dentro de nós."

Look up to the sky - Great to see blue sky this week through an impressive dome/skylight at the shopping centre.

An outlet vent breaks the corrugated geometry of a colourful wall of a shop building in the Waterfront area of the Docklands precinct of Melbourne.

Taken in the late afternoon with the EF 70-200mm f/4L USM zoom.

As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.

I humbly present to you the “Geometry” series - geometrical patterns and shapes created by the architecture and reflection of the Prudential Plaza in Jacksonville, FL.I walk past this building so many times, but one day managed to stand underneath it, and discovered this magic.

The architect is KBJ Architects from Jacksonville, FL, a firm responsible for shaping the incoming Jacksonville skyline we have today.

In capturing this architectural structure, I aimed to transform a functional element into abstract composition. I chose an angle maximizing leading lines and dramatic contrast. The black and white treatment amplifies the scene's pure geometry, while perspective creates visual tension guiding the eye. My intention was to reveal hidden beauty in everyday architecture, reducing it to its purest essence: lines, shapes, and shadows.

A capture of a local new office buildings. Well designed with lots if linear elements and sharp corners. In the middle is a circular glass sections with blades of steel running all around the outer circular steel frame. The roof slopes to create a very modern, clean but quite artistically pleasing building.

Just decided to take a capture today as the light was quite subtle and wanted ti see if I can do it justice with not much post processing

unobstructed view because i used all the miles accumulated this year to put myself in first class, woo!

Please, visit my 'Hall of Fame'

album. Thanks!!
