O inevitável cotidiano / The inevitable daily

The inevitable daily
Collection: The poetry of invisible movements
It is inevitable, points of conflict, lines of organization and insurrection, invisibility. Time passes... over.
A look, a step, a gesture, the lines of the city or any detail, completed by the look, creating a poetics in the movements that only exist in the encounter between bodies, photographer, place, people photographed and who sees the photo, and this can generate a power of presence, a static dance.
Enamored by mid-nineteenth century photography
I am especially in awe of:
Maxime du Camp "Peristyle"
Félix Teynard. "Hypostyle hall"
their use of overlapping geometry and sensitivity of powerful form within a scene.

Strictly speaking, one never understands anything from a photograph - Susan Sontag, "On Photography"
Pitched detail of the Hiberus Hotel under the early evening sun (Zaragoza).
Architects: Martínez Lapeña - Torres Arquitectos, Barcelona (José Antonio Martínez Lapeña y Elías Torres Tur).
Developers: Zaragoza Urbana. Palafox Hoteles.
This horizontal-shaped building boasts a construction quite untypical for an urban hotel. Minimalist in many ways, it looks pretty cold for my taste, yet it neatly fits in its natural environment, smartly protected from the strong regional wind and the outside noise by glass and concrete walls, which are different in size to provide a unique perspective.
Countryside around Turin - 2015
A view of the countryside around Turin from a little airplane. Wonderful geometries with nature colors in full spring time
(the title borrowed from the eponymous Flickr group; macro shot of a mixture of milk, oil and some food coloring; a modernized version of the Rorschach stain :-))))
A ceiling structure with wonderful geometry, curves and lines
My attempt at something different and linear/artistic.....
I couldn't decide which version I would show you, so I made a diptych. Left you see this origami-tessellation "Geometry" in normal light and on the right backlit.
It is the other side of my tessellation 'New Eyes' and also the extended version of 'Face 2'.
Folded from a hexagon 33 cm, grid 1:64, 'Anett'-paper.
If you are interested to see more, have a look at my tessellation album Origami - Tessellation Progression".
THANK YOU ALL MY KIND FLICKR FRIENDS. YOUR COMMENTS AND INVITATIONS ARE VERY MOTIVATING AND APPRECIATED.

CSXT 6025 leads a geometry train across the Trout River toward Yulee, FL, in the evening sun. It was sunny right up to the moment when the train entered the bridge when a cloud showed up to try and ruin the day. Somehow the cloud cleared with not even seconds to spare for a nice and sunny shot; you can see the last car and bridge in the background are still in the shade. Some luck on this one, thanks to the other Henry for the heads up!

Stülerbau-West und Ost;
Heute wechselnde Ausstellungen.
