The Saline Royale (Royal Saltworks) is a historical building at Arc-et-Senans in the department of Doubs, eastern France. It is next to the Forest of Chaux and about 35 kilometers from Besançon. The architect was Claude-Nicolas Ledoux (1736–1806), a prominent Parisian architect of the time. The work is an important example of an early Enlightenment project in which the architect based his design on a philosophy that favored arranging buildings according to a rational geometry and a hierarchical relation between the parts of the project.
The Institut Claude-Nicolas Ledoux has taken on the task of conservator and is managing the site as a monument. UNESCO added the "Salines Royales" to its List of World Heritage Sites in 1982.

I was playing around with the shutter speed at the grizzly bear exhibit when I captured this. There are several more near the bottom center just not as well defined.
I found the colors fascinating but not nearly as much as the geometry inside.

I tried to create an inverted image of "geometry", so I placed the cube on a piece of black cloth. I think I got pretty close.

Oh shapely Geometry!
For thy lines we honour thee.

how pointless our lives would be.
Week 26/52: Composing geometry. My first thought was to show geometry from a building, but when I passed these lines I instantly saw this composition with the sky in the background.
As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.
I humbly present to you the “Geometry” series - geometrical patterns and shapes created by the architecture and reflection of the Prudential Plaza in Jacksonville, FL.I walk past this building so many times, but one day managed to stand underneath it, and discovered this magic.
The architect is KBJ Architects from Jacksonville, FL, a firm responsible for shaping the incoming Jacksonville skyline we have today.
Architecture is sometimes just mathematics.
This is a very interesting subject to photograph because sometimes only a part of the whole is enough to be a subject for photography.

Silent geometries for a deafening everyday life
The silence of a photograph does not show the deafening noise of the whirlpools within us.
Geometrias silenciosas para um cotidiano ensurdecedor
"O silêncio de uma fotografia não mostra o barulho ensurdecedor dos redemoinhos dentro de nós."
