A hand cut piece of balsa wood has been hand painted with acrylics. I've used orange as background and turquoise, white and mint to paint the details. It has a metal pin-back hot glued to its back.

We took a school field trip to this post office when I was in, like, 2nd grade, and the corrugated fiberglass canopy was the thing I remembered most haha. It is still here!

The Dazor casts this pattern on the ceiling. The regular geometric pattern is suprising. The top of the lamp is perforated metal and the light bulb is a multiple element LED.

I prefer to use LEDs where possible. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of them. There are seven LED spotlights on the south wall of the living room, and I still use a 300-watt moguhl base incandescent for reading.

While shooting along River Road, south of Baton Rouge, this electrical transmission tower really grabbed my eye. The cloudless clear blue sky was perfect as an unobtrusive background, to show off all the intricate details and angles of the massive structure that carries electricity across the Mississippi River.

Mother Nature supplies most peoples with a lot of stones and rocks, but these precious gifts are used variously. In New England in USA they are used to make fences, as they are in parts of England. Many old streets were made of cobblestones. But in Andalusia I noticed that the stones were set in an artistic fashion to create stunning plazas. This image is from Córdoba.

This is the kind of corner that makes you stop and look. The lower half of the frame is a thick, rough, desert-masonry wall built from jagged stones in deep brown, orange, and grey. It sits on a smooth concrete base, heavy and grounded. Spilling over the top of the wall on the right is a massive bush of bright magenta bougainvillea, its papery flowers and deep green leaves completely unrestrained. Wright didn't trim it into a neat, square shape; he let it grow exactly as it wanted.

Above the stone, the building’s fascia is painted in a crisp, geometric checkerboard of cream and tan squares—a deliberate, man-made pattern that contrasts sharply with the wild, organic shapes of the flowers and the stone. A thin, bright blue metal downspout runs straight down the facade, painted in two tones of blue, cutting a sharp vertical line through the composition.

A deep-red wooden roof overhang completes the frame, casting a soft shadow over the window. Wright never played it safe. He mixed rough, primitive stone with crisp, modern geometry and let the wild colors of the desert climb right over his walls. It is a living, breathing building that never stopped being a laboratory.
