What makes you, you?

Your identity is made up of multitudes — the stories you carry, the music you love, the challenges you overcome, the books you read, the communities you’re a part of, and more. But your identity is a colorful blend of not only what you consume or create, but also the questions you ask and what you’re willing to learn.

In her CreativeMornings talk, Lucy Bellwood shared, “When we box ourselves too tightly into a single identity or career path, we deprive ourselves of the nutrients necessary to remain connected to the world around us. We are lacking in vitamin curiosity.“

The things that make you unmistakably you are not just the eclectic edges, but the simple pillars, beliefs, and values that you simply can’t shake. What sort of spirit or energy do you bring to a room? How do you show up in the world? What are your pillars?

The most unique care and love you can give to your creative identity is to craft it with your own hands.

We are super excited to have on this month’s exploration of Identity Dr. Basmala Qasim Al-Lawati, a doctor and a mother in various ways...

Join us for live music, coffee and pastries from 8:30 am-11 am; the session will commence at 9 am sharp. Registration will start at 8:30 AM SHARP! The talk will be in Arabic.

Season of Generosity Event on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

This year during the First Baptist Church of Elkhart's

Season of Generosity, they decided instead of funding

a worthy cause, they would give of themselves; they wanted

to do something to help the community. They chose to give service to the Town of Bristol

by cleaning gravestones and raking leaves at Bristol's Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Bristol Town Manager Michael Mitchell wrote: "Fantastic morning with dozens

of volunteers. Thank you so much for your time and energy to make Bristol

a great community. It was an honor to work with such caring people."

This was a straightforward posing session. I asked her to get up on a log and stay there, she posed, I snapped away, I thanked her and let her off. Sometimes even she enjoys modelling.

Tal's roses have begun to bloom. There's a lovely bowl on the counter in the kitchen generous with blossoms. And, outside the rose beds draw the two of us and visitors to their beauty. This one in this afternoon's low sun is Rio Samba.

Thank you Kootenai County! Because of your generous donations, we were able to send 196 local kids in need on a shopping spree for new winter clothes at JCPenney and Fred Meyer. Extra special thanks to our volunteers for making sure the kids had an excellent time, and our wonderful staff for making this event possible!

To find out more about how Clothe a Child went, read our volunteers' stories from shopping with the kids at www.kroccda.org/clotheachild.html

Hello my lovely rich and generous friends.

I've signed up* to take part in the Macmillan's cancer support London to Paris cycle challenge that is happening in July 2011 and I'm going to need your support**

My goal is to raise at least £1,400 which will cover the cost of the trip and a provide a sizable contribution to the brilliant cancer support work McMillan's do - which is were you all come in - please sponsor me @ justgiving.com/knebworthchap

I've also got to get match fit, which isn't going to be easy, so am out a couple of times a week on training rides. And, I've got to change my diet to be a wee bit more "go faster cycle lycra" friendly***

If you like, you can follow my progress via the usual channels @knebworthchap or if you fancy getting a bit geeky then point your browsers too: willheactuallymakeittoparis.com

Many many thanks

Matthew

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

* I'm not quite sure how it happened, one explanation is that I thought they said something like "we're going for a cycle for some pies" which of course i'd say "yes" too.

** I really want your money but if you fancy sending me some fancy *go faster* cycle gadgets as well than thats great too.

*** photos of my progress are available on request.

just in case you've forgotten that url it's justgiving.com/knebworthchap
