This started out as a large piece of hardwood that nobody wanted - the grain is inconsistent and it was weirdly shaped. I cut it down, planed it down and sanded it quite a bit.. until I ended up with a square about 6x6".
The design is the logo for The Geek Group which is where I work. The guys in the shop wanted to see the atom logo carved in wood.
I'm rather fond of it. :)
Another design for my third week of the #365patterns challenge. This weeks theme is GEEK CHIC, yes, the theme for the Fabric8 Contest organized by Spoonflower and Robert Kaufman Fabrics :-)

Friday was Beloit Gaming Night at my apartment. Friends from Madison and Milwaukee made their way to my fair city to drink homebrew, watch MST3K and play board games. I had planned to take pictures of the festivities, but never thought to break my camera out while we were playing. However, one of my friends left his bag of card games when he left. I spread them out and took a picture of them to commemorate the event.
