ps i'm not recommending any of these cookery adventures. they suit my personal taste. photographing to encourage myself to eat more healthily ...
i've created a group www.flickr.com/groups/cooking_is_my_hobby/ to gather ideas and encourage myself to continue with healthy eating by learning from others if you're interested in cooking, sometimes or a lot, or enjoy the cooking of others, you're always welcome ...
My wife had to drink 4 of these until I got a shot I liked!! By then - she didn't care.

I made my way over here after the last shots and spent a lovely few hours here in great light. It is one of my favourite places in Beara and i have only ever met one person who was here.I cant understand why,its an incredible place with stunning views back towards Allahies and the Iveragh peninsula. Its so quiet and peaceful and there is a great hike out along the cliffs.
This was taken before the sun had really come up and there was some lovely pink tones in the sky.

My friend and colleague Aaron made these and brought them into the office to share with me.
I had just had a bout of food poisoning (or virus) and my stomach was too tender to cope with this rich concoction.
So I only did the photography and gave my share to another colleague, and watched her face as she ate it. Sigh. Aaron promised to make it again for when I was better.
This is a small dish of ice cream with chocolate on top. There's about 2 inches on view. I've used my Nikon Z6ii with a Nikkor 105mm macro lens and a 1.4x teleconverter. A couple of LED video lights provide side-lighting.
I forgot to take before pics but I decided to paint some details onto the solid green garnishes on the miniature drinks.
I know the two garnishes were a slice of lime or Apple but my other red drink has this weird green thing and I have no idea how to paint it lol.
I also glued together the broken glasses together and they look fine so lol.
Ornamental cabbage and kale (also known as “flowering” cabbage and kale) are in the same species (Brassica oleracea) as edible cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower.
While ornamental cabbage and kale are edible, they tend to have a bitter flavour and are often used in a culinary setting as garnishes.

This is an oil painting that I've painted. I've painted this from a picture on a calendar. This is the first picture that I've painted after my brother died. The size of this painting is 16x20. A Steven Chateauneuf Creation.

This is the last shot i took before leaving Garnish. The light was still lovely at this stage and i noticed that the light was coming in from the side casting some lovely shadows onto this old ruined house. This is a fairly basic black and white conversion, just some dodging and burning. The polariser helped boost the contrast and sky and i only noticed the seagulls by the chimney while taking the shot and i thought they were a nice touch.Raw file below.
