Garnish for my martini, on a nineteenth-century hand-made table fork

This is an under three inch crop of my chicken and waffles dish at Ole Reds in Nashville Tennessee. My husband and I treated ourselves to a getaway in Nashville celebrating our 35th anniversary this past weekend. I placed the full photo in comments HMM!

The Grecian Temple is a folly built in the gardens on Garnish Island in west County Cork, Ireland. This is taken looking into a puddle at the base of the faux temple.

A few shots from Garnish Bay. I was hoping to take a few planned shots looking across the bay towards Lambs Head and the Iveragh peninsula. I have never been very lucky with the light and sky looking that way though and it turned disappointing again on this evening so I decided to rehash a few old shots. This one is an almost identical composition to one I took a few years ago except this time near dark with some nice wispy clouds.

For the Macro Mondays Theme: Garnish

A few raspberries as a garnish make this little bavarois cake a pleasure to look at and especially to eat. Simple, but tasty. Too bad it's such a small pastry...

Thank you for your time, faves and comments, it is much appreciated.

Happy Macro Monday folks !!

A photo of a beautiful Margherita pizza with a vibrant flower garnish! Original photographer unknown. Color enhancement and texture are mine.

While flying in First Class on Qatar Airlines to my first trip to Qatar, my meal was classically garnished by two crossed flowers. Very, very nice touch, first time in all my flying to many countries and all seven continents. Flight attendant service was truly outstanding, the best of the best I have ever experiences.

Today I dragged my wife out of the house and took her to see some wildfloweres in Morgan Territory. There were some but not as abundant as the super bloom areas in Southern California. With Mt Diablo in the backdrop, I composed for the wildflowers in the foreground. The colors just make my eyes so soothing.

A few shots from this time last year from my last trip down to this most wonderful part of the world. Cant wait to get back hopefully soon. Great place to get away from it all and totally immerse yourself in some serious landscape photography. The stretch of coast that stretches from Eyeries to Dursey island is possibly the most beautiful in Ireland full of rugged cliffs backed by scarred Sandstone mountains, quiet little coves many that have never seen a camera lens and this quiet little remote place really feels like you are at the end of the world.

Macro Mondays: Dec 26 2016 - Redux 2016--My Favorite Theme of the Year (August 1: Fill-the-Frame with Food)

The Macro Mondays theme for this week is "Garnish" Cucumber peal face 1/2 in for ref.

Beautiful garden designed by Harold Peto 1910-1918.

This was the garnish on my plate at a Thai restaurant a few weeks ago. I'm posting this one quick as I am taking Zanla there tomorrow, and I know that his shot of this will be much better.

Spicy beef stew with a cooling garnish of sour cream to tame it a bit for the Macro Mondays challenge, garnish. Area shown is about 57mm.

This is my version of a "clear" Chocolate Martini. The garnish fit the MM theme and a sheet of wrapping paper under the glass gave a nice reflection.

I heat the glass under hot water, dry quickly and set the glass upside down in a bowl of dark chocolate shavings. If you leave the lip slightly damp, the chocolate sticks better. Chill glass in freezer for about 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

* 3 shots clear chocolate vodka - 360 Double Chocolate Vodka works nicely

* 2 shots clear Creme de Cocoa

Shake in tumbler of ice and pour into chilled martini glass. Optional mint leaf, or a couple of chocolate covered coffee beans make a nice additional garnish..

An over-easy egg garnished with a sprig of cilantro. I'm not in the habit of fixing easy-over eggs, so I surprised myself with my ability to get the egg out of the frying pan and onto a plate without breaking the yolk!

A garnish of parsley for this weeks Macro Mondays theme "Just Leaves".

I have always struggled here to come up with a shot that told the full story of the beauty of this place. I had a couple of days away in Beara but the weather forecast wasn't very promising although yesterday evening was suppose to brighten up. I went with a few locations in mind but I really wanted to do this place justice. and had decided on a panorama. I was down at the rocks taking a few shots when the light started to turn really good so I dashed up onto the cliffs and just managed to make this shot with only a couple of minutes to spare before this lightshow was over. This is looking back at Cods head and Allahies although the view behind me is almost as nice. What a beautiful place on earth.

Cooking in the caravan is very basic and I have none of the props or lights I usually use. The oranges are grown just up the road and are very sweet and juicy.
