Our Daily Challenge ... food photography.
Cooking in the caravan is very basic and I have none of the props or lights I usually use. The oranges are grown just up the road and are very sweet and juicy.

SUBJECT: GARNISH ON A MINI FRUIT TART
(not quite an inch and a half horizontally)
NO props went to waste. All were consumed right after the shooting session. :-)

Wildlife is not my usual subject and there are much better than me out there, but I quite liked the look on this chaps face. It's like he's thinking "get lost I am trying to sleep"

Le petit bol mesure en entier 7cm x 7 cm. La photo ne montre qu'une petite partie, donc à peu près 3'5 cm x 5.5...

Another from my hike around Devils Tower on a relatively warm day at the tail end of February (2-27-2025) as snow and ice melted and the first hints of spring arrived in northeast Wyoming. Devils Tower has fascinated me ever since my first visit roughly a decade ago, for there is far more at this national monument than only the monolith. Surrounded by woodlands up to the edges of the boulder field and bordered along one side by the Belle Fourche River, there are truly some amazing scenes scattered all around that garnish the landscape in a wide variety of light and weather conditions.
I'm not really sure what this Bald Eagle was doing, but it was carrying something that sure looked like it could be garnish for an upcoming meal. Taken at Sandy Ridge Reservation Metro Park.
What better way to recover from braving the howling wind and lashing rain to watch some mediocre fireworks set off than a nice hot chocolate with whipped cream, garnished with chocolate swirls?

Lime Garnish, on Brazil's national cocktail 'Caipirinha'. I must admit it was a very enjoyable photo to compose and take. My reward for my efforts was drinking the spoils.

One morning above the Golden Gate Bridge, I was thinking about how clear the atmosphere was and then these fast-moving high clouds drifted into the frame. Worked for me.

Nikon D5500 with 18-55mm @ 45mm and 20mm extension tube.
Applied to a freshly baked lemon curd pastry with raspberries.
