On April 14, 2016, the UC Irvine Garden Project hosted a Community Vision and Action Planning Workshop among the UCI urban gardens to discuss ways gardeners could share resources, boost production and improve the health and wellness of the UC Irvine community.

I marked off rough 1 foot sections to help me with the planting.

 

I used a 2x4 to make the marks after using a ruler to mark off feet.

 

I hate forgetting what I planted so this year I am mapping it out.

since this photo was taken the lawn has been cut so it looks somewhat neater... got far too much cooch grass growing n the garden beds... don't know what we are going to do about it

The four concrete foundations for the water feature have been layed. Managed to progress quicker than I expected.

The reconstructed garden at Kenilworth, originally built by Robert Dudley (Earl of Leicester) for Elizabeth I. The mesh to keep the birds in the aviary.

the basil seed was so fine I put it in some dry sand to evenly distribute it along the row... this is a mix of varieties and includes purple and pineapple basil!
