Chinese Garden of Friendship, Darling Harbour, Sydney (wiki)

The pagoda on the right has more levels but I just cropped as there were Sydney city's high-rise buildings at the background.

It was a rainy day. Not many visitors.

FFF+ outing to the Blue Lotus Water Garden, Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction VIC

Another from a couple days ago. No textures this time. Hope they withstand the snow blanket on them tonight. I love crocuses..wish they were around all summer.

Today Simkha walked in the garden for the first time. But so far he has mastered only a third of the garden, adjacent to the door to the house. Yashka encouraged him and they played catch up a little. But everything is new and unfamiliar to kitten, so mastering the garden will still take more than one day.

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

I was working in the garden while Tofu was doing his own thing. He found a dead mouse behind the garden shed (probably left there by Sethi) but didn't find it particularly interesting. After checking if the mouse was really dead he returned to his birdwatching activities.

"All God's creatures got a place in the choir

Some sing low and some sing higher,

Some sing out loud on a telephone wire,

Some just clap their hands, or paws, or anything they've got now"

Saturday Self Challenge: Triptych (with a common thread.)

A busy week and although I had various ideas for this week's challenge, the time and energy didn't bring them to pass. So, with a macro lens already on my camera, it was a walk around the garden to spot some tiny flowers.

Today: 60/100

Designed by Isabel & Julian Bannerman, The Collector Earl's Garden includes domed pergolas of weathered oak, and fountains inspired by the garden vista in the famous Mytens portrait of the Countess of Arundel.

The grand centrepiece is the rockwork 'mountain' planted with palms and rare ferns to represent another world, supporting a weathered oak version of 'Oberon's Palace'; a fantastic spectacle designed by Inigo Jones. This contains a shell-lined interior with a stalagmite fountain and gilded coronet 'dancing' on top of the jet. from gardenstovisit.com
