Found the stool in the garbage across the street. Took off the gross vinyl cover & added a layer of plain fabric as a barrier & then this Sukie handkerchief. I love the garbage!

It is the norm in downtown Toronto. Leave furniture out for pickup and become a magnet for other people's trash. This lazyboy has become the neighbourhood "garbage chair".
This cattle egret perched on my truck during a visit to the local Transfer Station (Hawai'i County's euphenism for "garbage dump".) Cattle egrets are an invasive species, introduced to the islands during the 1950's.In the old days, they were usually seen mostly in agricultural areas standing on the backs of cows and horses. They have now become urbanized and search for their food in garbage dumps as well as the parking lots of fast-food restaurants. I thought this bird was taking a personal interest in me but, when I exited the truck, I realized it was admiring its reflection in the windshield.
Walking down 5th Avenue in NYC during an 11 inch snow fall, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but four Sanitation trucks with one-way blades mounted on the front, plowing the avenue in formation driving. Pretty cool. Wish I'd had my good camera along but did the best I could as they and the snow flew by.

WSN put this new truck in service under the Ryde contract to take on some recycling workload which the other trucks couldn't handle, but then it was swapped with one of the larger side loaders and became a dedicated garbage truck.
