not meaning a bad tv station :)

it is called: VAM-kanaal

the channel was meant for garbage transportation

the channels are dug by hand, with shovel and wheelbarrow, about 2,5m deep, as a kind of labor project...

(sometimes you cycle around and don't know what you are looking at :)

Decisions to be made!

Partner, would you rather have a cute little snail or a garbage can with a lid? (The first wise-acre who says a snail ON a garbage can, is gonna get bopped on the head!)

I've ordered this snail pattern and I'll shrink it down to pincushion size- Please click the link to see a much better rendition! Cute, right? It might get something underneath it, to ground it, or it might not. :)

Or I can attempt to make a garbage can, about the size of a tomato paste can, with a lid. Hopefully it'll have storage inside it for small tools, or even, TRASH! I'm picturing silver colored felted wool.

When you get tens of thousands of people in a small area for a brief time, you need some public service equipment. I leave it to my friends who enjoy such photos to properly identify make and model of this very necessary vehicle.

My favorite from the set...something about Shirley's eyes here I guess. I reviewed the whole show and posted a setlist as well here:

On Iberville near Salcedo, just around the corner from our home. This is simply household garbage that hasn't been properly bagged, and it is getting to be a problem.

Apparently, Shirley is only happy when it rains. This is an inside joke for all garbage fans because during this photo she was singing their hit, "Only Happy When it Rains." It was also storming outside which made the song even more apropos.

Aparentemente, Shirley sólo está contenta cuando llueve. Este es un chiste interno para los fanáticos de Garbage porque durante esta foto, ella cantaba su éxito, "Only Happy When it Rains." Había una tormenta afuera, lo cual hizo que la canción sea aún más apropiada.

A PN containerized garbage train comes off the line to Canberra and onto the Main South, led by a pair of 81s.

Same as last week, but with less yard waste.

iPhone photo. I should have shut the lid lest any kid walked by, saw this, and died of sadness on the spot.

i just hate it when people ( from world relief ? ! ) throw out perfectly good clothes and such.

i have determined some time ago that when you give something for free, the receiver doesn't attach any value to it,

So that's why you should never give anything away for Free !

Giving to the Salvation Army though is somewhat OK, but still, the Value that the Recepitent is paying for it , does not attach the proper value to it !
