2122 Garbage train from Crisps Creek is seen here charging through Tahmoor with usual suspects AN8 and AN4 leading the train in the late afternoon sun
not meaning a bad tv station :)
it is called: VAM-kanaal
the channel was meant for garbage transportation
the channels are dug by hand, with shovel and wheelbarrow, about 2,5m deep, as a kind of labor project...
(sometimes you cycle around and don't know what you are looking at :)
CCC LET2 Leach 2Rll Rear Load Garbage Truck -- City of Milwaukee 32456. Here is one of the last oldest leaches on Milwaukees south side operated by an awesome crew!
This Blacktown truck looks a lot better in this photo than from the other side in the other picture! Really isn’t too much to their equipment in terms of excitement, a pretty boring look if you ask me... not the newest one armers but! Should see the brand new Bucher/Dennis equipment the council got not long ago done up completely in bright individual colours as part of awareness campaigns. There is also an entirely black Superior Pak Dennis which was the first move in another direction - colour choice suits the council name eh?! :D

The modernization of the lifestyle of city dwellers is accompanied by a significant increase in the volume of waste produced by families, just as it is becoming more challenging to dump it in empty spaces. The municipality has been setting up waste drop-off points for around twenty years, but they quickly become saturated. The voluntary sector has taken the initiative of setting up door-to-door collection systems, thus enabling people in highly vulnerable situations to have jobs, most of whom are women. Initially, the collection was done with donkey-driven carts but with the disadvantage of slow movement accentuated by the weight of the loads. Motorized tricycles imported from China have emerged as a solution and currently constitute the primary means of transport used with the advantage of their speed. Waste collection is also accompanied by establishing numerous recycling units that help recover waste (metal, plastic, plants, etc.).
