"Green Gables" is the home and studio of Tasmania's longest serving premier professional photographer, Owen Hughes. Owen has been in the business for 60 years and is well known for his magnificent photobooks of Tasmania. www.owenhughes.com.au/
The Hasselblad 500 C/M is not quite like the Rolleiflex in terms of shooting convenience. Whist not as heavy as some medium format cameras (e.g. the Mamiya RZ67), it is still primarily designed for studio work. But it can be handheld to good effect, although the slap from the mirror makes a sharp contrast with the silent shutter of the mirrorless Twin Lens Reflex cameras.

Gable with sides of large multiple curves and topped with a pediment (the triangular bit) This style is common throughout Kent (around 180 buildings) and has been linked to the arrival of protestant immigrants from the then catholic Spanish Netherlands in the 16th and 17th centuries. Many of the local examples clearly post-date this period, and no doubt reflect stylistic preference more than direct foreign influence.
This example in Minster-in-Thanet, was the white horse public house and is dated 1597 which I would assume is a direct influence from the Dutch settlers in Kent.

This photo was taken with a newly purchased SLR camera in 1977 and was scanned in 2017.
A rare excursion into portrait format but this view seemed made for it.
A scanned negative from long ago.
Ruins on the coast adjacent to Porthgain. Portions of a decaying quarry workings battered by the elements.
This will be the last of my Wales shots. I was taken by the strong geometry of the triangular gable complementing the half-sky, half-sea horizontals.
Shining here as if it were made of marble, this Victorian mansion was built in 1885, and it is a registered California State Landmark.
