It's really beginning to feel like Spring here on the Northern California Coast. I'm trying to document "Spring Emerging". This is a macro of the hair-like fuzz of the echium leaves. They appear so inviting, but are quite or I should say QUITE irritating to human skin.
Upon returning to Cape Town after traveling around southern Africa, we took advantage of the nice weather and took the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. Known for its great views, more important was the natural garden it presented. We spent five hours just walking around.
This fuzzy toy came from a Kinder Egg circa 2012, there was also a polar bear, an elephant and a panda to collect. They are approx 4cm from nose to tail, made from hard plastic with a fuzzy, flocked surface.

Do not touch. (Thanks to Hermione for assisting with the "model"!) Unknown species, Danum Valley, Sabah, Borneo
Kind of blurry but I just had to show off this amazingly cute kitten that I saw at another group's shelter today. What a darling!
Fuzzy raspberry sends out long shoots which touch the ground & grow roots. Very clever, very invasive!
Aspen fuzzies are starting to open.
there is a relationship between these trees and the American Goldfinch.
the Goldfinches help the blooms to open by removing the casings.
I have observed them running the pieces of the casings around their beak,
it's as if there is a 'sugary-like' coating on them.
a little culture for you peeps
and thanks for no blinking glittery glitzy graphics or invites that include them.
I've not had much time for group participation,
been outside enjoying the SUNSHINE !
