Vermonters find a lot of good uses for old commodes. Another one down the road from me has been nicely landscaped and has several species of fern growing out of it. At least, I think it's fern. Hmm.

For Halloween 2011, I made a fully-functional Nikon DSLR costume, complete with a built-in flash, shutter-release button and remote, and LCD screen. Also capable of trigging my Alienbees strobes with my Paul C. Buff Cyber Commander, and capable of winning any costume contest with the push of a button.

Corpus Christi Catholic church in Stechford is
a more functional looking 1960s octagonal building with an interesting spiky lantern over the centre. It was designed by Gerard O'Brien of Ivor Day & O'Brien architects, Bristol, and was opened in 1971.
I'd found it locked on my first visit but open on my second on a Saturday morning for confessions (quite a few people sitting about quietly but nobody hostile like I later encountered at Tile Cross and in a much larger space so I managed a few shots of the simple spacious interior). My favourite part was the small side chapel with it's colourful abstract windows, the only stained glass in the church.

A new functional fitness training room equipped for cutting-edge cross-fitness workouts opened Nov. 1 at the Carey Physical Fitness Center on Camp Casey.
Col. John M. Scott, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I and other garrison officials took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the room.
It measures 20 feet by 44 feet and is equipped with TRX suspension bands, resistance bands, assisted pull-up suspension bands, battling ropes, Olympic rings, Olympic bars, rubber weight plates, weighted jump ropes, kettle bells, dumbbells, stability balls, medicine balls, plyometric boxes, a speed ladder, situp bar, mini hurdles, and a variety of workout machines, among other fitness items.

As is evident, I'm far behind in posting photos here. This batch is all from May 2022. Only almost 6 months late. But I will get caught up, some day.
Most of this batch exhibits many of my perfect shoes, perfectly or nearly perfectly worn as I like them. The warm weather also has me often wearing rubber footwear of various styles. Over the summer I added to my collection of rubber footwear of various makes. More of those photos will soon come.
I wore these functional but well worn Nike Air Huaraches today. Very comfortable shoes. The design of these is different from the ones I'm familiar with. The red elastic cloth piece across the heel is much more "stretchable" than the ones with a one piece rubber strap. And I don't know what the hooks on the sides of the blue strap are for. Was there another piece that is gone from this pair that served some function?
Whatever, these are comfortable shoes and I'll wear them for years.
