Letchworth State Park. Walking along the east rim toward the railroad trestle. The west side is the touristy side with its splendid view of the Middle Falls. From here, they are out of sight below the trees.

I didn't notice the bus driving up the road until I started processing the scanned image.

Jars at the bar.

Two weeks ago at Rohrbach Brewing. The jars were lined up in front of me. A photograph was demanded. Twenty-minute exposure or thereabouts. A couple of the jars got used for setting up drinks mid-exposure and got put back quite accurately.

A surreal day in the neighborhood - G

The Ondu 6x6 and I went out for a walk on an Autumn afternoon.

The dynamic range with this film Harman Phoenix II is better than with version 1 but still not wonderful. Combined with the normal corner fall-off of the Ondu 6x6, it made for dramatic vignetting.

Agatha in lights

Last frame on the roll. Exposure time was over half and hour, meaning that I completely forgot about the camera while getting engrossed in a book. (Terry Pratchett does that.)

My sister got this miniature orange tree about six decades ago and named her Agatha. She (Agatha) lived at my folks' house for many years. When they moved to assisted living in 2009, she came to live with us. In warm weather she lives in the front yard.

The path in the woods

Hiking the Power Line Trail at Letchworth State Park. The trail meanders back and forth across the power line cut from the road to the top of the bluff by the Genesee River. Here the trail paralleled the power line in the woods. It was a lovely day.

this is the optimal contrast for this shot, any brighter and I'd lose detail on the marina and craters, any darker and I'd lose the blue sky color, which I like. Thus, yeah, this is the best it's gonna get.

Completely unintentional double exposure. Ironically, the two photographs were taken twenty feet or so from each other. I may go back and retake the originals, but I rather like the contemplative combination.

The plaque on the tree has a conflation of Joshua 1:9 and Esther 4:14, which I found both appropriate and timely.

Be strong and courageous, perhaps you were born for such a time as this.
