I saw her. Everything was just like the first time we met. And then she sang colors to me. They came into me and fixed me. I became complete again. I was everything. I was her father her mother her daughter her son, I was the Earth the Sky the Moon and the Sun...

I could spend my whole life in this valley and still would never capture all the beauty. From Tunnel View as a winter storm releases its grip EL Cap comes into view #seetheworld #getoffthecouch

We have reached the terminus where our journey started some month before. I will visit the Metro again, perhaps together with Scott N, at the end of the year.

There are some fabulous stations more. Please let me know, if you want to see these stations at a later time or if it is enough for you.

Dear followers, you are incredible!!!

Let's be honest, I went on this trip with a case of photography anxiety!

To combat it, I conditioned my brain to have no expectations - just show up and do my best.

Still, I was nervous deep inside.

On this cloudless morning, we got to Mesa Arch about half an hour before sunrise.

Being a Sunday, I knew there would be a big crowd and I did not count on getting a spot in front of the arch.

Perhaps being a Sunday worked to my advantage, for there were only two photogs with tripods taking up the center stage (the rest probably knew better to avoid the weekend chaos!), most others (at least 100 if not more, scattered around) were casual visitors just there to capture the sunrise with cell phones. Many of them climbed up the rocks to the left of the arch or the higher ground on the right side behind the arch, obviously they didn't understand what made this a unique sunrise shooting location!

There were even TWO open spots in front of the arch: the 1st and the 3rd on the right side (facing the arch)!

I took the 3rd spot (from the right) and I held my ground, though I really wished I could take a photo of that nearby dome shaped rock which was bathing in the glowy pre-dawn light!

I did not bring a tripod because I needed the freedom to move around.

I walked away with 4 good photos, that's way more than I have ever expected!

Here's the first in the series with the sun had just risen above La Sal Mountains!

Thanks for your visit, I wish you a happy Friday!!! 💕😘

With homes nestled around a confined bay and atop wave-washed boulders facing the Atlantic, Peggy's Cove is renowned for its gorgeous and distinctively East Coast profile.

Even though this quaint fishing village has been declared a preservation area, the local fishing community is nevertheless very active.

Thanks for your visit, wishing you a happy new week!

As the first rays of sunshine hit the sheer cliff edge behind, light bounced upwards and illuminated the underneath of Mesa Arch with a stunning red glow!

The Benson Footbridge offers a viewing point for Oregon's Multnomah Falls.

Not only did we arrive Great Sand Dunes National Park a bit late and lost most of the golden light on the dunes, I believe we also came at the wrong time of day.

Judging by the dunes' orientation (facing east) and the trek marks left by the day activities (hiking, sandboarding, sand sledding), early morning hours would be a much better time for photography in here!

Nevertheless, I'm happy with the few images that I got, for they are much better than the ones I took from the first visit (early afternoon, Sep 2019)! 😉

I will share a funny encounter with you in my next Great Sand Dunes photo at a later time, so please make sure you follow my journey!

(Ha ha ha, did I just do a good job to promote my Stream here?!? 😂😜)

Dawn, six minutes to sunrise...

After almost 3 weeks here, I finally saw some dramatic clouds with colors which lasted less than 5 minutes.

The sunrise itself was a non-event, thick low clouds blocked the sun entirely.

I wish you a nice day, dear Flickr friends 🌹; thank you for your visit and/or comments, always appreciated💕😊!!!

Here's a photo of the iconic lighthouse bathing in the early sunlight, I got there by 5:30am and had the lighthouse all to myself and one other photog. Walking around and finding this small puddle, I was super happy with even just a partial lighthouse reflection.

Many thanks to your visit, favs and comments; wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

Thanks for all :DD:DD
