Roughly equivalent exposures, Canon 5d shot at f/4 and 50mm instead of f/2.8 and 28mm (35mm would be ideal but I don't have one), and ISO of the 5D is at 3200 but the K20d is at 1600 instead of 3200. This gives roughly equivalent pictures, for depth of field, perspective, noise, etc, and notice the Canon is still better at ISO 3200 than the K20d is at 1600. Pentax K20D on the left, Canon 5D on the right. Both processed from RAW. The K20D is considered good for an APS-C for high ISO noise when processed from RAW files, but the Canon 5D is significantly better. Horizontal pattern noise is easily visible, even with the proper exposure, at ISO 1600 in the K20D. The max I use the K20d at is 1600 to prevent too visible of banding. It is borderline though in heavily shadowed areas. Comparing at ISO 100 was less interesting, they were very similar.
I did a cooperation with the photographer Lena källberg where she shoot a roll of film by using a half-frame camera, then i used a full-frame camera and double exposed the roll.
The positive film was then crossprocessed and here is the resulting 37 frames that was is unedited coming straight out the scanner!
Undaunted by the snowy sleet (both falling and under paw), the three Fates take a stroll down 9th Ave. with their smiling person. Only one of them chose to wear a coat, the other two are "toughing it out" without a coat--or boots!
The Fates, in their wisdom, realize that when they choose to assume the appearance of dogs, they must be attached to leashes when they are in the street, a NYC law initiated by the infamous Rudy Giuliani... (Don't get me started on HIM!)
I only got one chance for this shot, but it captures the moment rather well. It would have been nice to have been able to get a whole series, but I'm very thankful for the chance I DID get!
