A 5 field portrait panorama. For this capture, I used light painting on the trees along the basin. This image is a combination of 3 exposures blended to create the final photo, layer masks used to adjust selective regions and finished with NIK plugins. Thanks for looking!
A macro shot of a beautiful blossom and new growth springing forth from the backyard flowering Pear tree. Saanich, Vancouver Island, BC.
…… When we had the garage re-roofed & a new back wall this got flattened - it’s very forgiving and rewards us each year with masses of flowers and a nice aroma too. I did post the first blooms out well now its ‘full on’. We actually planted this to hide our garage from a neighbours point of view - its up the side of the garage and hidden from our house & garden general view! Taken on my phone in Apple RAW & edited in Lightroom. Alan:-) ……..

The cherry blossom is here. A few blossoms lit up by city lights in a park in downtown Fukuoka City, Southern Japan. Taking shots within the cherry blossom watching and photographing crowds wasn't comfortable. I guess, I prefer landscape shots in slightly less crowded places.

The Sameba Monastery near the Sameba Cathedral in Tbilisi is a peaceful, spiritual space that complements the cathedral with serene gardens and vineyards . This monastic complex offers a quiet place for prayer, contemplation and the daily activities of the monks. It is a place where the spiritual and traditional aspects of Georgian Christianity come to life. The garden surrounding the cathedral and monastery is carefully maintained and exudes a peaceful beauty . Visitors can walk along paths surrounded by colorful flowers, shady trees and religious statues. This garden not only provides a place of peace and contemplation, but also enhances the natural beauty of the area.
A unique addition to the Sameba Monastery complex in Tbilisi is the vineyard. The vineyard symbolizes the ancient Georgian tradition of wine growing, which is an integral part of the culture and religious life in Georgia. The wine produced here can be used for the Eucharist or other church rituals. In this way, the vineyard reflects the connection of the land, tradition and faith, and the monastery offers a harmonious balance of spiritual and natural elements that emphasize the unique character of the Georgian Orthodox community. The garden is next vineyard. Photo of a beautiful rose in full bloom in the monastery garden. The soft, warm shades of orange and yellow with a touch of pink at the edges give the flower a particularly serene and almost spiritual look, perfectly matching the calm atmosphere of a monastery garden.

A cherry blossom is a flower of many trees of genus Prunus. The most well-known species is the Japanese cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is commonly called sakura. They are widely distributed, especially in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Mainland China, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Myanmar, Thailand and West Siberia. Along with the chrysanthemum, the cherry blossom is considered the national flower of Japan. Japan has a wide variety of cherry blossoms (sakura); well over 200 cultivars can be found there. All varieties of cherry blossom trees produce small, unpalatable fruit or edible cherries. Edible cherries generally come from cultivars of the related species Prunus avium and Prunus cerasus. This year, the apple tree is blooming, somehow, but experienced gardeners of our village are skeptical enough about the future apple harvest: "there are few bees," they gloomily state

While chatting on Skype a couple of days ago, I asked my 7-year-old granddaughter what present she would want on her wish list for her upcoming birthday, and she said: “Oh I think it may be difficult for you to give me this one though…I wish the Coronavirus would be gone”. She has been staying at home for the past two months as her school has been closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. She is eager to get back to school and meet her friends again.
