Sadly our beautiful Magnolia tree was toppled with Hurricane Ian and it has been too heavy for us to put it back in its rightful position. Amazingly though it is in full bloom with more flowers than it has ever had!

It is always good to go into the forest but I enjoy it the most at this time of year when spring is in full bloom, heralding summer's arrival and the forest just looks amazing!
Walking between the trees, I spotted these patches of light on the forest floor and the trees to he left providing shadows to balance out the scene a bit. Man, I love this time of year!
Geelskov is a state forest at Holte, just north of Copenhagen. It is well-visited by many dogowners, hikers and mountainbikers (of which I am one.)
LOVE ranunculus. They look like a rose, come in all kinds of gorgeous colors. And they do not have a scent. This means they can be enjoyed by people with allergies or who are sensitive to aromas like me.

Here, I was walking back to the car when I spotted the path and the four trees lining it, forming a diagonal line and dividing the image between the darker areas and the lighter areas.
I think it turned out ok but I wish I had gone for a higher ISO because I was going for HDR and it took a bit of deghosting to get the leaves looking decent because of their movement. I made the mistake of thinking that I didn't want go to a higher ISO because of the noise but with all the light in the frame I really don't think it would have been an issue. Hindsight is always 20 20 but another thing learned though!

This is one of the most popular shooting spots during the cherry blossom season in Tokyo. There were around 50 people around me and I needed to raise my camera over my head to snap a shot. Thus high ISO is necessary. Sorry for the noise.

On rare occasions things just all seem to fall into place. With this beautiful Painted Lady we had a great subject, light, background etc. The migration is ending in our neck of the woods. Always something to look forward to next year.
Boating under cherry blossoms is really a pleasant way of enjoying spring time. However, the rowing will be stopped if wind speed is over 6 meters. And I was lucky of shooting cherry blossoms with lines of boats.
