Yay! Website done! www.photosby.lindyhazel.com

Hopefully now that I have the computer back, I can get back to commenting. After some sleep. Start of new school year + OMG OMG OMG I'm doing this = restless sleep.

So a lazy night. (I even took a short nap....eep.) First submission to The Rogue Players. Hope this goes over well.

Notes for dialogue MORE than welcome. John figured that the egg at the bottom right was happy that the one on the bottom left was first for the frying pan because un-gendered bottom left egg had cheated on un-gendered bottom right egg.

Loving the local brown eggs. They're all different colors and shapes. I miss the Amish eggs because they have stamps on them so you can look up the chicken that they came from. Not that I did that since we mostly boil, and by the time I think to do that, it's too late. But they don't boil well. (Probably because they're too fresh) Dang, they're good though.

While hanging out at Sunrise Point and taking in the views, I noticed a raven floating on the wind currents in the valley above the White River. Yeah, I know. One of those moments when a person has to figure out how much to zoom in or out to capture a bird in flight. I took the medium ground and focused on Little Tahoma Peak and Mount Rainier. Two of the glaciers I was able to identify from the park map include Emmons Glacier and Fryingpan Glacier. In the end, this image was about this sole raven soaring and floating on the winds with beautiful mountain peaks all around.

MiB is convinced this pandemic is alien in origin. Agent F is not so sure however.

A cloud inversion lifts around Fryingpan Lookout Tower. Located in Pisgah National Forest, and adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Fryingpan offers incredible views of the Western North Carolina landscape.

Cooking 2 fried eggs for breakfast I was reminded of the famous painting "The Scream" HWW & HSS! Apologies for being such a bad Flickr friend of late, it's been a busy week. I'll try to catch up with comments in the next day or so.

70/100x my 100 photos will all be taken using the Hipstamatic App.

In this experiment, students discover what conduction is and how heat moves between two solids. The experiment is a controlled experiment. When the effect of one variable on conduction is explored, the other variables are kept constant. Students are asked to observe the relationship between the temperature and the materials of the objects when they are heated. The students select one of the frying pans with different handles and heat it on one of the burners. Then the students make observations of these frying pans. In the second part of the experiment, the students apply varying levels of heat to only one of the frying pans and observe the relationship between the applied heat and the material of the handle. The data from the students’ actions and the conclusions drawn from this data are presented in the form of a report. After completion of the observations, the concepts of conduction, conductor and insulator are demonstrated through animation.

A fried egg is a cooked dish made from one or more eggs that are removed from their shells and placed in a pan and fried. They are traditionally eaten for breakfast in many countries, but can also be served at other times of the day. Sometimes olive oil or other oils or fats are used, with different spices or seasonings.

According to Wikipedia, in the Fried Eggs section, a description is made of how eggs are fried in different cultures with different customs.

In the United States, North Americans use different terms to describe the degree and method in which fried eggs are cooked, including:

"Over easy or over light": Cooked on both sides; the yolk is runny and the egg white is fully cooked.

In addition, in the case of the United States, other ways of grilling eggs are also described: "Over medium", "Over hard or over well", "Sunny-side up" or "Scrambled eggs". (Source: Wikipedia)

(Fuente: Wikipedia).

Frying Pan is a lightship built in 1929. Initially used as a ship that acts like a lighthouse, it has served other functions, as well. During World War II, it inspected ships and boats entering the port, and subsequently served briefly as a relief ship.

It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Currently, it is moored at Pier 66a in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan (off the Hudson River) and is rented for events and functions.

While the color image I took at this location brought out a richer tapestry of colors with the meadow and mountainside, I found converting to Black & White with Capture NX2 brought out a better tonal contrast, along with deeper blue skies.

My guy and I decided to make this Mediterranean Goat Cheese Salad from the BC Liquor Stores magazine this evening.

It turned out amazing. I've never had it before and I loved it.

It was perfectly warm and gooey on organic mixed greens.

We never took a photo of the finished product as we were so excited to taste it and chow down....

When I was younger I made it a rule never to take strong drink before lunch. It is now my rule never to do so before breakfast.

Part of the kitchen in Petworth House, West Sussex.

This theme inspires me a lot, I've done several photos of different objects in my kitchen (you can see some of them in my gallery or in comments).

I choose this photo for Macro Mondays because I really love its graphic look.

It's the detail of a knife on a frying pan.

Someone has thoughtfully left the equipment for a fry up at 6m. 3 min safety stop and I can get out and have a real bacon buttie.

weekends ROCK.

xD Don't ask (why). I just felt like being random. And hey. I love my random assortment of awesome oddness that I picked up from I don't even remember half the time.

140 images, 7 exposures each, stitched together and tone mapped.

Pure pixel perfection.

Seen on the wall while waiting for breakfast in a small town cafe.

Some inspiration came washing the pots last night. This being a frying pan, I was attracted to the way the water reacts to the non stick surface. It also remind me of a road or race tracts.

The Sawatch Range/Continental Divide is in the background.

Most of the water that fills this lake comes through the Boustead Tunnel under the Continental Divide from the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies. It is one component of a massive water diversion project called the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project. The project includes five dams and reservoirs, one federal hydroelectric power plant, two private, FERC regulated plants, and 22 tunnels and conduits totaling 87 miles in length. The Bureau of Reclamation, under the Department of the Interior, built and manages the project.
