The front door has been hanging out in the east parlor for the last few years. Today it got a chance to try out the kitchen while the electricians work on wiring the parlors. Some new English muffle glass arrived via mail order to fix a broken pane. A plywood backing is guarding against further mishap. Soon it will be time for reglazing all the lights and replacing the 1960s bathroom glass in the center with something more historically appropriate. We think we'll go with some tempered, beveled glass.

It's upside down, but it is really ours. Soon the front of the house will look really finished up. When we get a fence and landscaping in you will not be able to tell that it isn't finished from the outside.
