Storm Front

Safe at harbor, everything is easy
Off to starboard, daylight comes up fast
Now I'm restless for the open water
Red flags are flying from the Coast Guard mast
They told me to stay, I heard all the information
I motored away and steered straight ahead
Though the weatherman said
There's a storm front coming (mood indigo)
White water running and the pressure is low
Storm front coming (mood indigo)

Went down to shoot Ulladulla Harbour one morning last week.
Spent about 45 minutes shooting away on the tripod with the remote trigger. Thought I was finished, packed everything away, looked over my shoulder and saw this forming.
Ripped the backpack off, grabbed the camera, with no time for filters or tripod, clicked it into bracket mode, and shot off 6 frames bracketed, handheld.
Boom!!!
Hope you like “Storm Front”
Cheers, Mike
"An animal will always look for a person's intentions by looking them right in the eyes." ~ H. Powers
And this guy certainly checked out our intentions...we stopped at a pull out to grab a few things when we noticed this coyote walking down the middle of the road, coming directly towards us. Of course, I positioned myself for a few shots, and he apparently decided I was no threat, as he continued towards us, paused for a second, and then continued on right past us...gotta love a cooperative subject :-)
Back from Christmas festivities...had a wonderful visit with all of our family members...sure hope everyone else had a joyous holiday. Will catch up with everyone soon...have a great Tuesday!!!!!
Out and about and seeing what folk are doing to their houses for this festive period. This one really stood out to me, made me wonder what the inside looks like ;0)

Sure, we drove a long way from Melbourne to Lake Cargelligo without photographing much at all, however all was not lost - we did spend some time with some White-fronted Chats at the sewerage ponds!
There is an open section of the ponds that has plenty of these saltbush, a favourite habitat of Chat species. And while we were hoping we might see the more elusive Crimson Chats, at least we saw one species of Chat, even if it is quite common!
Having said that, the evening light was magic & this is actually the first decent photo I have of a male White-fronted Chat. There were a couple of pairs that were very busy collecting insects (I suspect they were raising young in the saltbush). The birds would often perch on the top of the saltbush & pose for a few seconds before darting off to the next spot. This particular birds was quite the gatherer - check out the beak full of bugs!
Bridlington Sea Front, an old photo, I was looking through some old folders and spotted this I think it was taken before I joined Flickr. It brought back happy memories.
Thank you all for showing people that Brussels can be more colorful than one would ever imagine...
