I was in for a shock as ALL but one of the lagoons/ponds were frozen hard and there were very few wild birds to be seen on the fields.

One of the flock of White-fronted Geese flew a bit closer on ts way out to the River Severn estuary to feed on the mud flats.

It was reported to be a Russian White-fronted Goose.

One benefit of not having a full-time job right now, the hubby and I can go have lunch whenever we want. We drove by this spot about 6 months ago and wanted to check it out. So on Wednesday we did.

I photographed this individual in Honduras. It ranges throughout Central America, Mexico and most of Texas. The southern populations have more red whereas the northern populations have more gold.

We stopped and let this shelf cloud overtake us. Always fun!

The other night we were sitting on our porch, and this fawn came running through our yard to the neighbors. Then it came running back and stood in front of our windows, panting.. I don’t know if it was being chased, or it got separated from its mother, the poor little thing was just in such distress. Finally ran off towards the lake.

This is either juvenile male or a female Northern Cardinal. Eating a berry from the bazillions on my native Sabal Palm tree. This is Florida's state tree and I love it in the front yard.

Cool shaped old abandoned church.

This is what we got briefly this morning. You really couldn't see more than a few feet in front of you. The sun was slowly burning the fog away and it was clear a short time later.

Canandaigua Lake's pier is a gorgeous place to watch a sunrise. The herons, ducks and cormorants line up to watch it with you, while the seagulls fly over.

Couldn't get it in a good pose. But it's a lifer, so I'm glad to have gotten this shot.

A round headlight mounted centrally in the front of a vintage Oldsmobile. Foglight perhaps, as it already has bulbous healdlights on both sides?
