I had a bunch of smoked salmon leftover from yesterday so i decided to make salmon ravioli for lunch.
Ravioli are stuffed with smoked salmon, cream cheese, colby cheese, sour cream, chives and garlic. Topped with a sweet garlic alfredo sauce.

Not the most desirable looking thing I've made. But the kiddies & I had a blast making it. Not to mention that they loved eating something they could play with first.

This looks dark because there is also vanilla extract in there. I used some peppermint oil as well. A word to the wise: the peppermint oil is strong, one drop is enough.
I learned the proper way to make pasta is to roll it out on the first setting, fold it in thirds, then roll it again. Repeat 8-10 times before stretching the dough.

I put them in the oven at 375 for 9 minutes to loosen the shell from the meat, probably should have left them in longer but I was nervous that they would brown.
Thankful for homemade chicken soup.
Everyone has that one thing that they make and the make very well. For me it is homemade chicken noodle soup. As soon as someone gets a cold, it is on the to do list. I don't care what anyone says, it does help you get better.
Someone asked me to write down my recipe. That is pretty hard when you put a dash of this and sprig of that in it. But I did it.
This photo was taken right before we sat down to eat supper. No good lighting available so I did use a flash which made the soup look ok, but the plate I would like to fix a bit.
