Lomo Lubitel 2 ~ Fuji Superia 400
This camera was a gift, from the very lovely slithy-toves... thank you slithy, for getting me into the world of 120 roll film!
The shots from this first roll came out better than I could have hoped. They're all in focus, for a start (maybe there's a knack to getting the focussing right, but I found the little magnifier and ground glass screen approach tricky, to say the least), and vaguely pointing in the right direction (I still find this aspect of using a TLR deeply unintuitive... whichever way I wanted to move the viewfinder, I completely failed to find the right combination of hand/arm movements. I must have made a comical sight, gingerly waving my arms about, in a sort of slow-motion expressive dance). And I seem to have got the exposure in the right ballpark, too, thanks to the sunny-16 rule.
Even with what is, by all accounts, an, er, less than pro-quality lens, I'm amazed by how much detail there is in a 6x6 negative. I love this camera... it's such fun! Even with the light leaks...
Kate and I took a trip to the Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area to see the Sandhill Cranes. It was not the peak time, but there were more than enough around to get our crane fix.

I spent the week looking after Danny while his parents were on a training course.
I just love the crazed look on his face here! =)
This play house was a definite favourite of his - especially as he could spy on me from up there!
Un bel immeuble avec quelques accrocs sans importances. Les derniers étages parisiens, sous les toits, font rêver...
Look ma, no haze. A requisite shot looking up from the vantage point of an intersection. The bottom-most building is one corner of the Roosevelt Hotel, where most of the TypeCon attendees are stationed.
A zoomed-in look at the huge (as in tall... not necessarily large in circumference) trees while walking thru Northwest Trek animal preserve/park.
