The Monthly Scavenger Hunt - February 2015 - 11. High

I think I'll try redoing this when it snows more thickly...

And I hope it looks like a video to you. To me, it looks like a rather pathetic series of stills, jumping from one to the other. Updating Flash Player didn't solve all issues, apparently.

I don't even remember now what direction I was facing when I took this photo of "The Crystal", the new wing of the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. If it weren't so wasteful of exhibit space, hadn't involved such staggering delays and cost overruns, and didn't clash so horribly with the rest of the museum, I could almost admire it. Or maybe not.

Redwoods, taken on an overcast day in the Arcata Community Forest. Makes an interesting postivie/negative pattern, methinks.

At 70 feet above the gorge - the highest covered bridge in the country. Built in 1934-5, it is 220 feet long. Blount County, Alabama (IMG_9471)

I just love blue sky.. We don't have that in Jakarta.

The iron staircase at the Hotel Chelsea, constructed with a wrought-iron balustrade and mahogany banister.

...Well okay, it's really sat quite solidly on a huge bit of old dead volcano, but at night sometimes it does look as though it's lost its moorings and is making an escape...

When you're over 60 feet down a cold wet slimy shaft with water cascading down your neck, what else can you do but take pictures of the fading light that is your only link to the real world?

Luckily both the camera and I survived to tell the tale.

It's a 3-story water fountain inside the recently-opened Lincoln Square across from Bellevue Square. Quite nice when the light hits it right.

"And have another drink

And then think this one over

You'll dig yourself a grave, everyday, when you're sober

You see, what I mean, at your best interest your all over…me

I could never be what you need.

Finders keepers

No you don't keep me in line

I like secrets

Cause they keep me in line

Oh habits die hard

But I'm too young to die

Finders keepers

The whole thing is a lie

You won't find her

Cause she's too hard to find

So my advise and only run a mile

And I bet, you guess, me right

(you guess me, yes, you guessed me right)

I bet you guessed me right."
