The Air Show opened with a parachute demo from the Air Force Academy's Wings of Blue parachute demonstration team. The lead parachutist, of course, was carrying a US Flag.

so i was at the mall today and kept passing under this flag in the main stairwell area. I dunno, kinda found it just way too much or something for my tastes...guess it was for the 4th of July or something although I had not noticed it there the other week... so I felt compelled to grab a picture of it and just as I was slipping my camera back in my bag a security guard came up and told me I was forbidden to take pictures of the space... so much for freedom ;)

A Sand Tiger Shark from Siam Ocean World in Bangkok.

A shot of Khaos and Ginger while I was playing with different f-stops values and my bounce flash. I really like this one for some reason.

Hello my dear Flickr friends.

Oscar Vilde has said once that "Originality that we demand from the artist is the aproach originality, not the subject originality. Only unimaginative artists are always looking for new subjects."

Well, having this in my mind, I'm showing you an ordinary subject (hotel My Place in Nis) seen and processed on My Way :)

[Of course this is less because of Oscar Vilde and more because I haven't travelled much recently...]

Enjoy and best regards my Flickr friends.

For ODC-Grainy. Grainy sunflower with grainy texture. This comp is a bit weird, don't know if it works.

This quote from a fantastic movie, "Yes" ,summarizes many many things;

And, in the end, it simply isn't worth

Your while to try and clean your life away.

You can't.

For, everything you do or say

Is there, forever. It leaves evidence.

In fact it's really only common sense;

There's no such thing as nothing, not at all.

It may be really very, very small

But it's still there.

In fact I think I'd guess

That "no" does not exist.

There's only "yes".

You might wonder why there is so many pictures of that bald guy today in the Interestingness. This is an initiative of the flickr@paris group : getting as many photos of the same item in Explore on the day as possible. The item being their beloved and megalomaniac leader : philippe leroyer (who actually wrote this little text).

If you want to participate in that initiative, just comment and fave this picture (and the other ones that you'll find).

Let's see how far we can go here !

Looking up at the top of a utility pole near home.

Friday evening - thought of posting something either about love or party. The party won so far;-) Wish you good evening

Let me be known by the company I keep

By the One who determines each day that I greet

From the moment I wake 'til He rocks me to sleep

Let me be known by the company I keep!

Let me be known by the company I keep

When the valleys are low and the mountains are steep

By the One who holds fast when swift waters are deep

Let me be known by the company I keep!

Let me be known by the company I keep

By the One who implores me to sit as His feet

And quickens my soul to discern what is deep

Let me be known by the company I keep!

Let me be known by the company I keep

Eclipsed by Your presence that I may decrease

'Til all You have chosen this traveler to meet

No longer see me but the Company I keep. - Beth Moore

Immobile.

Established.

Resolute.

When I arrived at my friend's place in Lausanne I saw this plane and thought that just hours ago this is what we looked like ourselves....

Lately, I have been very interested in minimalist photography. This picture is the testament to that......

This photograph also demonstrates the limitation of cheap Nikon zoom lens (70-300mm). I took this picture at the maximum zoom (300mm) of this G type lens. You can clearly see the circular "halo "effect with the darker density of the sky at the periphery.

The longer you stare at the towers, the more you realize how truly special they are. No other building on Wacker is quite like it or as daring. I never tire of them.

Co roku podziwiam tą magnolię, rosnącą w jednym z ogródków obok mojego osiedla i zwykle pstrykam jakieś zdjęcie zza płotu ;) W tym roku wyjątkowo obficie kwitnie :)

Against a heavily polarised sky, the sunlit bow of Pontypridd's Unity sculpture is looking resplendent following a recent repaint.

The sculpture was designed by Andy Hazell and installed in 2009. It represents three iconic parts of Pontypridd's history. First, the depiction of the old bridge, engineered in 1756 by William Edwards. Second, the railway - once Pontypridd had one of the longest railway platforms in the country and was one of the busiest as coal ("black gold") was transported down to the sea from the many collieries to the north of Pontypridd. Third, the bow of the ship represents both the coal that fuelled the naval fleet and the Brown Lenox chainworks which stood nearby, and supplied chains to Isambard Kingdom Brunel and others.

Subtle folds in the surface of the EMP. This angle reminds me of a metallic version of Australia's Uluru... just a lot smaller.
