A baby frog

While cutting grass today, bumped into this little fella. 3-4cm in length, it was crawling of the wet grass, clearly disturbed by the lawnmower. I moved it to safety, and went on with the job. Later, I came back with the camera, and found it again and managed to get it to hold still for just long enough to take a few shots.

This was supposed to by me entry to the "Animal" theme photo contest, but could not make it to the session.

I get a lot of these on the patio. I had one hitch a ride onto the van once. He travelled from MS to Alabama.

If you look closely you will see a little frog at the opening of the bird hole. this was taken many years ago before the digital age and I had a cheap little camera so it didn't come out too good.

These tiny frogs vary from all-brown to almost all-green, with differing degrees of spotting. Is this a Northern or Southern?

Danish pastry - a typical one, or traditional :) Not easily found in your local shop but it was a nice search and perfection when I finally found the little bakery that sold them. This was a wonderful flaky croissant-like pastry. I think it ever so slightly sweetened by a little bit of honey. There were seeds on the outside - some poppy and sesame and some other I did not recognize. It's quite large and definitely yummy!
