This little fella caused a lot of laughter with the grandies when it hopped into the house and grandad couldn't catch it...lol...he did eventually but when he let it go outside he somehow managed to get stung on his throat by a wasp! Poor grandad! x
Weber Spur Trail, between Bryn Mawr and the abandoned railroad bridge, LaBagh Woods, Chicago, Illinois. The Weber Spur Trail is an abandoned Union Pacific Railroad right of way. The rails are gone now, leaving a rustic trail full of interesting flora and fauna.

An original drawing of an Iberian Water Frog or Perez’s Frog taken from an original photograph by Victoria Hillman (Also me, my wildlife photography is done under my maiden name).
Although these frogs are not native to the UK they have become naturalised and the reference photo is from several months of observing and photographing a naturalised population in Somerset.

Species: Liroria raniformis
Status: Introduced, common, resident (In New Zealand, Native to Southern Australia, imported in 1876)
Habitat: marches; swampy grounds
Food: mostly insects, larger adults sometimes small fish or skink. Tadpoles are vegetarian.
Adult up to 10 cm; this specimen was about 5-6 cm
Most active at night.
Location was the glass of the back door. We only see the Bell Frogs when it's raining or just after.
