This was a real highlight for me and I have our guide Juan Carlos to thank. He knew I liked frogs, so on the night cruise he specifically went looking for some for me even though no one else was that bothered. Caiman were the main target of the cruise, but these were far more exciting for me.

Help with ID would be very welcome.

Frog in the shallow end of the pond

The camourflage is almost too good, I nearly stood on this frog when I was out walking today!

The Ponmudi Bush frog (Raorchestes ponmudi) is the largest species in its genus and has a loud call. All members of the genus Raorchestes develop directly (without going through the tadpole stage).
