This Frog was Croaking nearby while I was taking photos of the red winged black birds. It took me awhile to find him, but I was patient and managed to get a picture of him as he started to "Croak." Taken in Gaylord, MI.

Over the weekend at Kanapaha Gardens in Gainesville, FL. Tree frogs are hard not to like.

Saw something move on the ground, got down to get a closer look and a frog about 1" long was hopping around and got this picture of it.

Found this fellow on the edge of our pond at night. We named him Fred.

Must have just emerged from hibernation, think it's the same one I saw in the garden last September.

I set the frog back on another leaf.

I don't see many of these around so it was nice to bump in to one today - it was as I was photographing this frog, that I heard the 3 Otters calling out to each other.

Last night, after a few days of non stop solid rain, we had 11 tiny Frogs on our windows.

Today, this little guy was on our bin and when I tried to get him off and let him go in the garden, he jumped on me instead. So I took him inside to photograph him.

Picture a Frog the size of your thumbnail... So sweet!

Unfortunately this shot shows the dust and dirt on our timber floors.

One of many found on a rainy night by road cruising through open farmland dotted with ponds. In this area, pickerel frogs seem to inhabit farmland far from their normal stream habitat

A kewl red/pink frog trapped on the outdoor stairs to the basement.

Ofcourse I helped him towards freedom, so he thanked me by letting me take a close up picture of him on the garden table.

No colour changes made in postprocessing, he really was this pink!

Some kind of mutation?

This is just a little Leopard Frog hanging out in the garden. They only get to be about 2 inches, 50mm long full grown in this sitting position. I have lots of them. They are very colorful, and very cool.

During the semester, the Biology department held a competition for Darwin Day. The rules were simple: whoever could make the best artisitic representation of their favorite extinct animal would win two tickets to the Georgia Aquarium. A friend and I collaborated to build a model ankylosaurus (picutres to come soon). Our entry won, so we went to the Georgia Aquarium together.

This is the Bornero Eared Frog, found within the Amazon exhibit in the aquarium.

Anyone looking for their Prince?

A frog among the growth in the garden. Having not seen any for the last couple of years (and not since we got rid of our pond), this was a pleasant surprise for October.
