The Malabar gliding frog or Malabar flying frog (Rhacophorus malabaricus) is a Rhacophorid tree frog species found in the Western Ghats of India.
The term "gliding" frog refers to its ability to break its fall by stretching the webbing between its toes when making leaps down from the treetops. It can make gliding jumps of 9–12 m, a maximum of about 115 times its length.
This frog has a body length of about 10 cm (4 in), making it one of the largest moss frogs.

At that point the fully automatic mode of my camera was a good thing. Just point and shoot and try to keep the camera shake free, while the computer-in-the-camera takes care of the rest.
Initially thought this was a nicely coloured frog orchid, but then perhaps a small chalk fragrant in bud? Found in an area with both present. Any thoughts orchidophiles, thanks!?... I think I'm leaning towards frog : )
This small frog jumped from branch to branch as I was walking along the pond. It is about two inches long.
Marsh Frog - Benfleet Downs, Essex. 100's of them at Benfleet you can hear them all around, makes a change to actually see one long enough to photograph, usually you just hear the plop as they land in the water out of sight!
This couple were sitting at my front door when I arrived home this afternoon. We've had spawn in the pond for the last three years but never seen the frogs. I helped them to the pond where they posed for these photos for a few minutes before diving under the plants.
