Several commercial fishers are licensed to catch blue catfish through low-frequency electrofishing. This method delivers a nonlethal stun to catfish and does not affect protected species in Virginia waters. Catching blue catfish using gill nets is labor-intensive and can have unintended effects on other species.
VIMS Marine Advisory's Bob Fisher, a fisheries and seafood technology specialist at Virginia Institute of Marine Science, has collaborated with Trice to document the safety and efficiency of electrofishing as a commercial gear type in Virginia. Fisher is also helping develop new food products made from blue catfish.

found my way up onto the roof at work via the roof-access ladder I have been eying for the past week.
I've said it before, but it truly is amazing how 99.9% of people don't look up from the sidewalk in their lives. It's actually kind of scary.
Originally, I saw this in black and white, but couldn't turn down the blue sky. It just wouldn't let me.
This city is intricate in the way that every building just screams "NO" at you.
Every door has a doorman, every handle has a key-card reader beside it.
A huge change from the coast-mountain forests, where the enormous trees don't say a thing.
They just listen.
